That's awesome Anthony, we've been waiting three years for this comment! 😂😂😂 Great video bombing, hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 🙏 Loyd
That's awesome! It really is a magical place, especially if you're into trail running 🏃♂️🏃♀️⛰️ I've really missed going there because of the pandemic and I've got all my fingers crossed that we get to go this year 🤞 You should should definitely try and go at some point, I don't think you'd regret it. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
V pleased I came across your channel. Great video. I also ran MCC 2019 and 2018 - great event. Not been in Chamonix since Feb (have an apartment in Argentiere so tend to spend a few weeks skiing and then visit plenty in the summer). Really missing it, can't wait to get back - have an entry for the 90k du Mont Blanc in June so hoping the world is getting back to normal by then!
Awesome Philip, I'm glad you've found us! 😊 It sure is a brilliant event, stunning route! I've missed the mountains so much this year, I was meant to be running the TDS 😕 Hopefully we can back out there next year for our annual Chamonix fix 😂 Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
@@Run4Adventure The TDS sure is a tough race esp with the new route, great challenge - will you be able to use your entry in 2021? I was hoping to enter the OCC or CCC in 2021 (after missing out in the lottery last year) but chances look vv slim with all the 2020 entrants returning. I think I'll put an entry in for the MCC . Entry rules for UTMB are changing again for 2022, 'running stones' seem to be the new thing and MCC awards 3. Either way, covid allowing, I'll be in Chamonix in August and will look out for you in the TDS
@@philrunshills154 Yes Phillip I'm in the TDS for next year! 🎉🎉🎉 I can't wait to get back out there after missing out this year. I'm not that impressed with the "stones" it's making it harder and harder to get into the races unless you run one of UTMB'S races! The MCC is a great route, you love it 😊 Definitely give me a shout if you're in Chamonix ⛰️🏃♂️
Thanks Mark 😀 We’ve learnt a lot over the last year when it comes to filming and editing. Thanks for watching, we’ve got some really good content coming up 😀
That's great Andras, I'm glad the video helped in your race 😊 Really hope you enjoyed your MCC UTMB experience! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
UTMB has never featured in my bucket list as I thought it was just queues of people on narrow tracks with poles. BUT...... your video diary may (may) have swayed me to take a look 🙂 Thanks Loyd. Maybe a video on top tips for staying in Chamonix?!
UTMB is definitely a bucket list race!! Yes there can be times when you’re in a bit of a line early on but it soon get spread out. To be honest you’re just so focused on survival you don’t really notice 😂 It’s an amazing week in Chamonix that’s for sure, I’ve been over there 4 times now and we’re going back for the 5th this year ⛰🏃
Watching again in early 2021. Filling up on good content. Already missed summer 2020 races. God how much i want to be out there again racing in the mountains !!!
I know what you mean! 🙁 I so hope we get to go out to UTMB this year, I've got everything crossed 🤞🤞🤞🤞 Thanks for watching again I hope you enjoyed it second time round! Thanks for the support 🙏
I know this is from a few years back now but thanks for a coverage as I just started trail running a few months back and I’m thinking of making this my 2025 goal race. Next year my goal is the 50k race to the stones here in the UK in July and while MCC is a little shorter I know the altitude and elevation will makes MCC much harder than RTTC. I’m also planning a trip to Chamonix in June as some extra training for RTTC and to have fun on some shorter trails to see how the altitude affects me
The attitude can make a massive difference to some runners. I always try and go out early before a race in the mountains to give my body a chance to acclimatise 👍 The MCC is a fantastic race on an amazing route, I'm sure you'd love it! Thanks for watching 🙏
Thanks Paul and thanks for watching 👍🏻 It was cozy that’s for sure! I did have to be very selective with running kit 😀 There’s actually more space than there looks and the bed is super comfortable. Thanks again and don’t forget to subscribe 😉👍🏻

Great videos! How did you find staying in a van in Chamonix? Would you recommend it as a good budget option for staying there as i would imagine hotels etc could be quite expensive?
Hi there Thanks, really glad you enjoyed them and thanks for watching 👍🏻😀 It’s definitely cheaper staying in a van! I’ve stayed in hotels and hired out apartments on previous trips. If you book an apartment early and there’s a group going out it can work out pretty reasonably. We stayed in a long stay car park where you’re allowed to stay if your in a camper van. It only cost €16 for 24hrs so works out super reasonably 😀
@@Run4Adventure For sure property here is somewhat tricky…….probably massive understatement! Moved here just over 3 years ago now and live pretty central. UTMB week is absolutely bonkers!!!
@@philsimon4457 UTMB week is definitely bookers, we’ve been going since 2015! 🏃♂️🏃♀️⛰️ We’re back again at the beginning of August and we can’t wait 😁
@@philsimon4457 We’ll be doing a shake out run on the Wednesday of UTMB week if you fancy it. Starting at Moodys, just a steady 4 mile run along the river and then back to Moodys for a coffee 🏃♂️🏃♀️ We had around 80-90 runners from all over the world join us last year 👍
