Man , you can totally see how the copeira training has given you great control .Such smooth , effortless spinning.I love doing spin moves but at 6 ft 4 " I look like a wobbly top! Great video !
Colflo gets the fuck down. I love his little steps in place with the simple kicks. Just a fucking groove. Just a smooth grooooove. He's more fun to watch then a lot of dancers.
@@johnnymatteis3452Yeah, Ive been dancing house since the beginning in the mid 80s. I saw Coflo in a house battle at least 10 years ago and I liked his style back then. The Coflo now is like a whole different dancer. I think he could battle anybody out there and win.
just looks like he's having fun. I always loved the respect that other house dancers give each other in battles. You don't see that with other battles much. Paying respect when someone does a bad ass move. HOUSE IS A FEELING and that's what's separated HOUSE from every other style of dancing. That's why even tho it's UNDERGROUND, and some new type of dance music comes along and does it's four year dominance and then fades off into the wind, UNDERGROUND always keeps that steady place of being #2 since it was invented, and gave birth to every other dance music. I call it the high school run. 4 years. Some style creeps up. Someones older brother or sister that's going to the clubs introduces it to their younger brothers or sisters, and the fucking kids blast that shit out amongst the highschool age class and it goes mainstream, but once they graduate and get out of high school. It just fades away while have the graduating class gets introduced to REAL HOUSE, and the other half gets introduced to the new fad, and they introduce the new shit to their younger brothers and sisters and we have that vicious cycle of NEW CRAP coming around and irritating the airwaves, the internet, fucking t.v. commercials, while HOUSE keeps it's place at number 2. I'll keep it that way with a smile. I don't want house in my commercials, or on my t.v.. It's the reason why I can be over 40 and when I want to go out and dance, I can to go dressed in my fucking pajamas and be comfortable or keep that B-Boy style. instead of some fucking dress code. It's kept tracks suits alive. It's kept ADIDAS thriving, and I can where a fucking hat when I want to go out. HOUSE IS A FEELING.
That's the thing that only HOUSE FLIES understand. You watch other dance style battles and theirs a lot of shit taking and showing up the person. You don't get that with HOUSE. It's the music and it's what important, and I listen to a lot of music. A LOT. been to a few hundred concerts, Still have about 30 CD's I bought, and another few hundred I burned......not including the 300 hundred house sets I burnt as well. But I'm Chicago. IM BLESSED that I could walk in a 200 capacity club on a Wed or Thursday and maybe 50 people were there and DERRICK CARTER, MARK FARINA, HEATHER, SNEAK were spinning because they were home from spinning around the world. Walk in to a club in the GHET....TO and be one of a few 3 or 4 white people, All rolling our asses off and because we had the little house groove the black patricians would come up to us smiling and be like "You know where you are, but you're here for that HOUSE?" And because HOUSE it's own thing. HOUSE IS A FEELING. Then the music is the most important thing. ONLY WITH HOUSE.....but battle to win, but dance because it's fun. I just dig your style because you got more groove then you see in a lot of the battles online in Europe. They're just a little harder when they dance. A little quicker then they need to be. They get down, but.....I don't see that groove as much as I see dancing. House is a groove. It's not that hard to learn a couple basics, find that groove and look like you're a better dancer then you actually are. I think that's fun thing about dancing to HOUSE and why we're still rocking the same fucking steps from the fucking 80's. Just HOUSE. You don't see people dancing to what ever the new shit is and doing the twist or the mashed potato.
+odyssey2609 thank you sir! ...indeed I hope we do. That track is the Atjazz remix of "Our Time". But i think the version they played in the competition was the dub... soundcloud.com/slipnslide/king-britt-pres-scuba-ft-lizz-fields-our-time-atjazz-remix

Yep. it seems like he just freestyles it. He has all the foundation moves and adds his own touch to it.
