    2- You can use formulas inside formulas. For example another way to calculate Average would be =(SUM(B2:B20)/COUNT(B2:B20))
    Another example may be using "If" conditions to only count, sum, etc certain numbers and ignore numbers that don't meet x conditions(like =, )

    HI Profesor. On my excel the functions are not working without reference to a data set for example: =avg(12,15 6)- does not give me the average unless I had highlighted those numbers from a data set would it work.. Can someone help me out ?

      Ronmel Danbert Horne put commas between the numbers; no spaces between each comma or number. Close bracket immediately without adding a space. You’re probably sorted but replying for the future reader!

      Lana Naboulsi variance for a sample is used when you select a small sample from a population. For example, you have a school of 500 kids. You randomly ask only 50 of them (a sample) how old they are. So you can use that information to make assumptions about the entire school population, that their ages range from 5 to 17 since your sample does too. Variance is used to see how much each number varies from the mean (average). N is the number of students in the entire population (in this case 500). Small n is the number of students in the sample (in this case 50). So you use Population Variance to calculate the entire school if you ask them all their ages one by one. You use Sample Variance to calculate the sample of 50 students.
