    Great video, thank you. Why did you choose dirt commanders instead of Bighorn? I was very happy with sunf bighorn clones on my last machine. Looks like we do the same style of fast trail riding. Maybe these would be even better.

      The Dirt Commanders are unbelievable. They perform well in all conditions (even in snow)... and I've never punctured one. No reason for me to buy anything else.

    Any suspension work , lift kit or just the oversized tires that give it a taller look

    What led bulbs are you running?

    I just bought a Kodiak 700 base how do you use the Low and High gear? The dealer told me 20 and under for low and 20 and above put it in high. So most of my riding so far has been crusing around about 15 20mph so I've been keeping it in low but notice a little rubber burning smell. I have put it in high a few time and got it up to 35 or 40 but still breaking it in so dont wanna over do it

    • @quadmania59
      @quadmania59  6 лет назад +1

      That's the worst advice I've ever heard. Low gear is used only in sticky situations when you need more "low end" power. For example, if you're climbing/descending a steep hill. Otherwise, always use high gear.

    • @electrified7309
      @electrified7309 6 лет назад

      That makes more sense to me to. I'll try keeping it out of low and see if that keeps the rubber smell away LOL thanks for the advice.

    i have a 2016 Kodiak SE , and really hate the lights, and noticed you changed to led. Where did you get them? I have looked, no success. And have you had any issues with the air box issues? dirt coming in to the emissions tube. i love my kodiak!

    • @quadmania59
      @quadmania59  6 лет назад

      I have had a lot of issues with my airbox. I am currently trying to either buy or make something to upgrade. Apparently, this is a common issue on the 16-18' Kodiak's. Also, yeah I got my LED bulbs on Ebay. Much better light output then stock.

    I’m in the market for new atv after my Honda foremen was stolen, is the Yamaha automatic reliable and long lasting? How does it compare to Honda’s ESP transmission? Thank you in advance.

    • @quadmania59
      @quadmania59  5 лет назад

      The Yamaha automatic is very reliable and they now provide a LIFETIME BELT WARRANTY for almost all their machines. Yamaha reliability is on par with Honda and the power is much better. The Yamaha trans is gonna be a lot smoother then Honda. Anymore questions, let me know.

    what opinion do you have on putting same size bighorns in front and rear, any problem or ?

    • @quadmania59
      @quadmania59  6 лет назад

      Great tire, you should have no problems. Too bad they're so expensive. Check out the DWT Moapas. They're much cheaper with equal performance to the Bighorns.

      I have stock size bighorns, and are great! yes, we ride on alot of rocks, and these tires show no wear at all! goin on the 4th year. great tire

    I noticed you took off your 2r racing tip, any reason? I have a 2018 that i was looking at getting the tip for it.

    • @quadmania59
      @quadmania59  6 лет назад

      The machine was running way too lean with the tip. I would've had to run a fuel mapper and wasn't looking to spend the money.

    • @quadmania59

      I got both. There should be a review of the 570 on my channel. I am Team Yamaha! Much more reliable and better power.

      @quadmania59  6 лет назад

      @@rzl07375 it's a different type of power. I'm sure the polaris would beat it off the line, but the Kodiak rips in the mid/top range.

      I did the epi compete clutch change, it helps alot with low end, a noticeable difference. I also have a hmf pipe and tuner, loud as hell, but it gives more power, but not sure if its worth the $ again, LOUD!
