    I made a massive mistake!!!! I spread wood chips all around my 1 acre garden. The pill bugs attacked everything and it was apocalyptic. I used the slug bait at first and it reduced the pill bugs right away. Now I just use the diatomaceous earth every few weeks and it is working great.

    I appreciate their work in my compost bin as decomposers, but they are tough on plants; glad to see some organic control solutions and ways to deny them habitat in the first place.

    I love the composting they do but they burned through our strawberries, columbine, eggplant, cucumbers, cantaloupe, watermelon. Ate the roots and then the it was gone the next day. Beer trap time, diatomaceous when it stops raining, and hiding spaces from cardboard to be thrown out after congregation. They are ravenous.

    What if these are in my home ? They multiply like crazy but I can’t figure out where exactly they coming from

    • @GrowingSpacesGreenhouses
      @GrowingSpacesGreenhouses  Год назад

      It is possible that they are coming from a house plant. Plants purchased from nurseries can come with pests. These methods should still work on a small scale inside. Best of luck!

      @@GrowingSpacesGreenhouses no house plants. I find clumps of dead ones so they’re definitely dying . But how to stop them coming in the first place.
      I saw on another video they are looking for moisture. Would setting up a dehumidifier in the basement ( sow bug graveyard) help or hurt? Either the ground around my house is too moist or too dry (not sure which one) because I never used to have as many as I do now.

    Catfood can. Dump out food for your critters, don't clean can, set in garden. The little bastards will get in but can't get out.

      Actually, in large numbers, they are destructive and will feed on tender roots, leaves, and vegetables. Especially your vulnerable little seedlings.
