I own a cleaning company and ammonia is by far one of the best cleaners there is especially on carpets. Very important if you have a gas stove your gas needs to be shut off as a precaution. Those baked on stains will come out with a pumice stone more expensive no fumes. That grease on the stove-top your best bet is ammonia. I wish the smell was not so awful but its cleaning ability is unmatched.

If you must use Easy-Off, always get the yellow can (regular Easy-Off) -the fume-free blue can is too weak for tough work. Nice video and I loved the bonus insert with the "white" stove!!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
5 years ago my husband and I moved 'in the country' and I now have a gas/propane oven and it is not self cleaning. I've always had electric self cleaning ovens so, with this one, I have been dealing with a stained oven and its rather embarrassing when company is over for meals. When the weather gets a little nicer and I can open the windows, I am going to do this! It a a little too cold right now in North Central Wisconsin to keep the windows open!

Just an observation. Do you think it might be easier to take some dry paper towels and place them over the soiled areas and then spray (with an ammonia filled spray bottle) or pour the ammonia over the placed paper towels and quickly cover with plastic wrap before letting it sit? Anyone try this method? I might and then report back. Seems like it might be a little easier. Thank you for the cleaning tip!

I would rather soak the paper towels than spray...less fumes in the air the better

Ammonia fumes are painful to breathe. Atomizing those fumes with a spray bottle will exacerbate the situation. My experience confirms what the host suggested: saturated paper towels, maximum contact, trap with plastic film, leave till morning.😉

Ovens are tough because the messes are baked on AND its awkward to reach inside the oven. Self cleaning ovens are fine, but it smells so badly

Hello. On some of your other vids your colleague has had less success with ammonia on things like baking trays. Do you think the paper towel/cling film thing is what makes the difference? Also, I have the black (powder coated or cast iron? Unsure) hob rings and flame caps. Does ammonia damage damage powder coating? Thx for replies

How to do the racks? I heard to put them in a large garbage bag after spraying them with ammonia (outdoors is best)?

Does it affect stainless steel ? Some products I've noticed leave a mark on stainless steel that will never clean off.

Nice, I remember the stove top. I don't know what it is with the Ammonia but it works. I am waiting to do my oven when I can open all the windows. I have some burned on oils around my burners, but I think my stove is painted for some reason because I have a rust spot on the sink side. A $700.00 Hotpoint and I would think that the black paint would lift up. They don't make appliances like they used to anymore. Have you come across this happening before where the paint comes off? I would like to see that shine around the burners too.

I haven't seen the paint lift off, but you are right. They don't make appliances like they used to. For bad stove or oven messes, I like the ammonia the VERY best.

Thanks, I seen another video that used Baking Soda and Vinegar but didn't work to well with the caked on grease and one someone used a Razor Blade Widget. I am going to do the Ammonia this weekend, I have seen it with my own eyes that it works well. Keep those videos coming.

Sure thing. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/gPSRdHkZC10/видео.html The smell is strong, make sure to work in a ventilated area. I would only use ammonia on really tough messes, but it works AMAZINGLY well.

I always use SOS pads. When I clean on a black thick spill as you showed in this video, it literally takes an hour or more to completely remove it! I clean my oven whenever there’s a spill but there seems to always be brown spots/splashes all over every time. I can’t help but wonder if there’s an elf on the shelf specifically for ovens! 🤨

Lol. So my husband cleaned out the lint trap inside the dryer with a long hose and he pulled out a bunch of socks. We do this because our dryer caught on fire a few years ago. Do you think that the ammonia will clean without damaging the stove rings? Im not sure if that’s what they’re called. Thank you!😊
