It really bothers me how many influencers completely sell out the first 3 days of this special event. Because of this my son and I could not get any tickets we literally went every day to the ticket booth to ask about possible tickets just to be sold out by influencers

I think it's worth it to attend the Halloween Party at least once. Not every year, but make it an event to attend it at some point. They are very generous with the candy. It's been some years since I last attended, but the bag was overflowing before visiting each place once. Have fun, enjoy yourselves, indulge a little.

I can see maybe if you are buying non-park hopper day tickets, it might be worth it to use it as one of your MK days but it's not for me. If I don't have an AP I always have PHs. I'm not a character person, go often enough that getting on rides fast is not a thing and can certainly buy candy for a lot less. The only things I'd be interested in would be the parade and maybe the FWs, not worth that much money for just those two things.
To me MNSSHP is always worth it ❤ I have only been able to go two times , and I have never regretted it: last year we walked into haunted mansion, Peter Pan, jungle cruise, thunder mtn, space mtn in the dark: rode TRON at night with hardly any wait, saw the parade that is IMO one of the best, hocus pocus show which is also the best, ate funnel cake, it was truly amazing !
