- In May 2024, I was fortunate to be able to walk the Cape Wrath Trail in the North West of Scotland over a 14 day period. The trail goes through the very best areas of Scotland and is a joy to walk. I hope you enjoy following along. Thanks for watching.

Loving following this through the vids you have released - nice to see such fantastic scenes whilst still keeping us engaged with the challenges and logistics that accompany a journey like this - I'm severely tempted to try the Cape Wrath on the bike but it will likely have to wait until retirement I suspect 😆 ATB Tom
@hikebikescotland9121 thanks for watching and commenting Tom. Cycling the CWT.... you might be ok on those fat bikes of yours. Knoydart would be virtually impossible but if you took GGW and then the trails through to lochcarron and then kinlochewe are possible. Fisherfield would be patchy, but after that possible to oykell bridge. River oykell would be perfect and a diversion to avoid glen Coul etc. Yeh I guess, you could do large sections of it.
Loving your videos, you manage to capture the walk in an authentic way and also top marks to your commentary, very well put together..👍. What footwear are you using for the walk? (not the custom flip flops 😁).....
@chrismckay9869 thanks very much - appreciate it. I wore the Topo Terraventure 3 - my second pair. I have a broad forefoot and narrow heel so these work well for me. Lots of other brands don't fit. Altra is the other brand I wear often.
Are they some custom ultralight sliders? 47:36
@olivermetcalf8464 yeh DIY ones. Fluted plastic footbed. Based off the design by Mayfly Johnny. See part 1 around 16 mins
