Getting horizontal lines after every 2 seconds on my VU TV. It has a TCL display. Will I have to replace the T-Con board or there is a way to check the cable etc before going for a new T-Con board?

You dont. Its permanently bonded to the panel. Bad TCON = Bad Panel. Must replace the whole thing OR figure out what the issue is with the TCON on a component level. The SMDs are so tiny that its probably beyond the capabilities of many technicians.
For me, when the harness between the LD board and the main board is not connected, the reg+12v and main-pwr parts have no voltage, are the REG+12V and Main-Pwr voltages created by the LD part and is the LD defective? Or the instructions for making these two voltages are done from another department and have nothing to do with LD?
replace shorted capacitor from the display pcb driver, ..there are four 10uF and at least one is shorted, change them with the news ones ..prefered to 25 or 50V

i had a problem with my kdl-60nx810 sony I couldnt determine weather the tcon or the mainboard is the problem. i tried removing the cable that goes to the mainboard and the tcon still has the supply then I turned it on, then the screen turns to like color mode testing which displays color such as red green blue and gray and some shadowing. now I'm confused which one to change the mainboard or the tcon.

In my case my Nokia led tv 55 inch, problem - after power on tv start as normal picture and sound but after 20-30 mins no picture only sound.if again power off and then on again both picture and sound come back but not last more tha 10 mins.When screen is black that time by using flash light I can see inside picture.Can you tell actually what is the problem and what to do next

Firstly check if there is any lose connection between the ribbon cable and the board, may be you can reinsert it properly again and check!

I have the exact same problem, I replaced all three boards same, just where is the T-Con board on this model
