The angle I was holding was not moving me away from the runway as quickly as I wanted. You do NOT want to land on the tarmac if you can avoid it. In the old T10 chute that most of my jumps were in, I would have been screwed in a painful way. And I was thinking in those terms. But that MC6 I was under turns fast and has a faster forward speed so I was able to slip out of trouble. I thought I was in a worse position than I really was.
