Stories in Stone - Episode 10 'The Logan Rock'

One of Cornwall’s oldest tourist attractions, the Logan Rock is situated near the village of Treen in the far west of Cornwall. This 80-ton granite boulder was, according to legend, the haunt of witches, fairies and giants.
In April 1824, its magic properties were destroyed by the actions by Lieutenant Hugh Goldsmith, R.N. (nephew of the famous poet Oliver Goldsmith), and the crew of the cutter HMS Nimble.
