So it's ultimately a win for both Soviet Union and New Zealand.

Pakistan was supported by the whole NATO (mainly USA, UK, France andTurkey) only the Soviet Union was the one to support India, the USSR set up a naval blockade and used aircrafts and stuff to push back the USA and allies and on the ground, India was already kicking Pakistan's ass. The USA and Pakistanis had to retreat and they eventually surrendered and this led to the independence of Bangladesh. Thanks Soviet Union for their help everytime India had some trouble.
