Jongmyo shrine cultural show - 1703 Regards, Queen of Joseon

Myohyeonrye is a ceremony in which the queen or crown prince attends Jongmyo Shrine, where the ancestral tablets of successive kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty are enshrined after the royal wedding ceremony. It is very meaningful in that it is the only rite in which a royal woman participated among the national ceremonies of the Joseon Dynasty.
In 2023 Jongmyo Myohyeonrye, the Myohyeonrye of Queen Inwon, which was held in 1703, is reconstructed into a new performance content that combines creative play and ritual reproduction, and presents it to the audience.
