  • New Mexico and some Arizona. Some of the nicest scenery of the whole trip is in this video, alas, the sun was setting and the quality is meh.

That's some of the most breathtaking sunsets I've ever seen out in that area. I went thru there several times, on my way to Tombstone, and later to Campo California. Went thru Deming, NM. And Tucson, and also the edge of Death Valley, etc. There really is something magical about being out there

Ya know, when we were driving thru northwestern Texas, to go see my Grandma in west Texas, I would imagine what the land would have looked like without telephone poles, power lines and train tracks. I could envision as a child how Indians would see it and how and where they would ride. And as am adult I found myself doing the same thing (and still do on occasion) when I find myself out in the vast landscape of unbridled nature.... but one thing about being out in the NM/AZ desert that spooked me was those HUGE cactus. When it starts to get dark, I swear they come to life and start waving their arms! LOL stay safe...and thanks for the memories.

Oddly enough, I saw very cacti on my travels. I was hoping to see some of those big cartoon like ones, but I sure did get to see some stellar sunsets! Thanks for the comments.
