Still, if only BJB had taken the tackle on his break (was only 2nd tackle) leeds would likely have scored within the next few plays and levelled or gone in front. Could easily have been the most unlikely league and cup double in history for leeds in 2011, wasn't to be!
Why BJB kicked it god knows....(thought he was playing RU). It was only the 2nd tackle so even if the pass inside wasn't on, take the tackle. Simples. It prob explains why he is now languishing at Leeds' dumping club.
The officials certainly didn't do leeds any favours but if you give the opposition a 16 point start in the first 25 minutes of a cup final, you are asking for trouble.
Probably the worst big game performance by a ref (for both sides) I can remember. Some real poor decisions throughout the game, which tended to lead to tries.
I was stretchered off at Wembley stadium whit a leg injury last year. It was at the under 17 youth challange final.
