Yahoo Kees went out of business several years ago. Worked on a 60" YK zero turn that had several issues this summer. Electrical troubleshooting gives lots of people problems. It is my weakness but have improved a lot. Good fix again. Sell it in the spring!
My mower was left out in weather for 5 years. Did all the typical tune up stuff and got it running but the blades won't engage at all. You've given me a place to start and I ordered the test light. Thank you!
Na no worries, a fuse, don't feel bad, their loss is your gain, not your fault, not like you knew what was wrong, didn't tell them, then bought it, you didn't have a clue the guy didn't know what he was doing, that's how I got my snapper pro 50, and my time master, I had bought the timemaster for 50 bucks, fixed it all up, put in key start, and now it's awesome, 3 months later the kid called me, and asked for it back, cause he sold me the wrong one, I told him I fixed it up completely, and installed key start, if he wanted it back it would cost him 1500.00, loke I said their loss is your gain, learn how to diagnose properly, and you won't loose a perfect machine because of a fuse, great fix and great video.
Nice job Bob, I have a friend that brings his Yazoo/Kees zero turn to me for service, its a good strong mower. Keep the videos coming brother, thanks. 👍
It's always good when it's just a fuse. Nice job Bob, and all the testing, inspecting and cleaning gives peace of mind in verifying that it's in fact only a fuse. Nice video!
Nice way to diagnose it. Using a test light or a battery pack like you and some gator clamps, has helped me sort through some electrical issues. Nice job!
Voltmeter check ohms across pto leads can tell you if it has burnt windings causing low resistance and high voltage draw that can drain battery. 2-4 ohms is normal.
A simple fuse now that was lucky just wonder how it blew, maybe by boost starting with a vehicle battery and the vehicle engine running causing too many amps and thus the blown fuse? Nice inspection and clean up of the wiring while checking thought.
I have a Toro Reelmaster 5610. The problem with it is that it raises the cutting decks sometimes and sometimes it won't lower. And sometimes it is completely dead on the lever. Does anyone know what I should be looking for?

Yazoo are good mowers. In my opinion same quality as exmark. Its a little harder to find parts though.

you get it sorted out?

Thank you Bob! The continuity test on the pto switch that you showed was a HUGE help.
I find if you keep your cool and think a little , usually you can figure it out . Great video nice fix .
Well done Bob it don’t take much to have problems but we hunt and find them good job
Thanks Hank! Hope all is well.
ALWAYS check fuses first. Second, Voltage Regulator. Great job

Good investigating...Lawn Mower detective AKA Taryl fixes all

How you doing Craig hope all is well. Bob
👍 trust but verify. 😊
Nice troubleshooting bob on this Yazoo finding out why that pto would not engage well done sir
Thanks buddy. I'm not the best at electrical but I'm getting better with each one I see.
Nice work Bob. That fuse was in hard to see through. A meter is the way to verify.
Hi Bruce, Hope you are doing well. Get ready for winter it's coming.... and so are the snowblowers
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family from Lori, Jake and myself at Eliminator Performance here in Canada.
Nice work Bob

Good tip. I'm still learning, but I did determine PTO was working properly.
Always check the fuses first, always.
Good tip, I think I popped the fuse because I did have power orignally.
A simple fuse now that was lucky just wonder how it blew, maybe by boost starting with a vehicle battery and the vehicle engine running causing too many amps and thus the blown fuse? Nice inspection and clean up of the wiring while checking thought.
I think i may have blown the fuse when troubleshooting possibly?
Thank you very much for your video brother save me 140 dll. the problem was a broken cable
It's a crying thing is that Yazoo mower company is no longer in business
they are solid machine Robert!
So now you are left thinking what caused the fuse to blow in the first place
A shot somewhere right ? A wire frayed wire somewhere shorting?
That’s the biggest problem, it’s going to blow again from drowning to much power like bad clutch or wire problems or connectors
Short
Overloaded
Wrong size Fuse
Too low Amp Rating fuse
Thank you! Very helpful!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very helpful video!
Very educational
Thank you
very nice diagnostic technique. YZ was a Husky brand that they killed.
yes, it's a shame.
I saw your video a few weeks ago on undercoating your vehicle with bar oil from 5 years ago. What's your opinion on it? Would you do it again?
It works great I do it about every 2 years. It is a pain and messy though.
great job
Nice machine
But how long until the fuse blows?
I don't know I mowed with it a few times and had no problems. I may have popped the fuse when troubleshooting.
A CAN OF GAS AND A MATCH SOLVES MOST LAWN EQUIPMENT HEADACHES

Power Take-Off if anyone else was wonderingg.
Pto clutch not disengaging fully its bigdog zero turn when switch off still turns not fully
Why not check fuses to start ? Electrical did need cleaned up. Poor maintenance.
I should have checked it. right away. good point.
What if the blades just stay on
Hey Bob, if you see this, I'm curious as to how old your kid is that is in your intro? They grow up so fast.
He is 15 now, Healthy and playing football, basketball, and baseball. I'm older and very thankful and proud.
@@doublewide6 I've got 4 myself, ranging from 24 to 3. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm a dedicated follower of the channel. Good content!
Anyone has the problem of the battery die’s when blades are working then they don’t turn on anymore ?
