I’ve been fortunate to work my first powerhouse job as a pipefitter apprentice. 3 turbines, 2 of which are outfitted with HRSGs. Very very cool. I’ve seen HRSGs entirely outdoors, but the entire plant I’m working at is inside, with the exception of fuel gas conditioning.
Nice animation. Interesting when you know something about what you are looking at. I've commissioned a few HRSG duct burners, but never on a system as large as the one depicted here.
@@vivaldikonzsmith7291 I certainly do not know about "all", but I bet most do. The heat coming from the turbine would not have enough energy for a large boiler. Sure, you could get hot water and some steam probably too, but the quantity would be very low.
There are licensed softwares for everything in industry, those are not usually available for public unless we pay keen interest in buying them, also we need to get trained to use them.
Nice animation. Would be a fantastic video if it had labels for each part as they are added, as well as showing the internals of the HRSG.

I just had the privilege to pe part of the process of building 2 hrsg in so. Cal
Learned a whole lot.

Got a question for you sir. Do all WHRU have additional sources of Heat, burners and pilots to preHeat?

the video illustration of heat recovery unit could be more helpful and understandable if the name of different parts were also shown
Nice video, but it only illustrated the boiler section. I wish the engine portion was included. After all, the video is titled LM2500 Gas Turbine.
Good video. At 2:33, can anyone tell please what is that green colour (small vessel)?
Thanks.
Maybe Flash Tank.
@@ponsitpingful Thanks for your kind reply but why is it used in HRSG?
Thanks.
it's a blow down tank
@@AdilMazapov Thanks for the clarification. Appreciate.
Blowdown tank. It's used for collecting sediment from the drums.
Agree, why no parts and labelssssss
I'd like to ask what capacity have this HRSG?
Is this the homstuck sound track? Also at 1:43 you should have shaded those cylinders smooth?
thank you. I can now build a heat recovery steam generator, but I don't know how it works.
thanks for this amazing animation. I wonder how you make these animations??
I love to use them in my presentations.

It's so sad that you guys made this animation right before OSHA declared ladder cages non-compliant.
Really nice video.
