- 2 months of work, countless burnouts and hundreds of individual open captions written. This is quite possibly the most ambitous heaven studio remix yet made at least in terms of visual effects.

You may have to search for it if this video is a older than a month.
However, due to the sheer amounts of vfx within this chart, it's entirely possible you may not be able to play it due to lag. Heaven studio is a great piece of software however it's not intended to load captions which include thousands of characters every frame. If you find yourself unable to play this chart, I've made a "lightshow" version which only includes the vfx if you'd still like to watch it within heaven studio.
A quick note on how the visual effects on this remix were made. All the screen effects you see are done entirely with text by using square blocks to cover up the screens, which are spaced very close together using 1/16th snapping and were slowly hand crafted frame by frame. Some of the larger sections (such as the ending) would take 30-45 minutes to create a single frame of animation, which in total took me about 3 weeks to create that single loop of animation. This is also why it lags so much since each frame is comprised of thousands of characters blocking out all the screens. This was an incredibly fun project to work on however my next remix may be a bit simpler since I'm not ready to go through the hell of making something on this scale again.

This gives me a horrifying glimpse of what rhythm game 'boss fights' could look like. Like you are familiarized with minigame mechanics earlier, told to ingrain their audio cues into your mind, and then finally you have a big challenge at the end with all of the minigames being a mere part to a visual barrage. Forcing the player to rely on the audio cues and the actual beats of the song as simply watching will not give the player what they need, and can even confuse them and make them perform worse.
Still, it's a visual marvel, and I appreciate all the blood you cried making this :)
rhythm doctor does this exactly, i'd highly recommend checking it out if you havent already
i think ADOFAI does this too for its insane custom maps where youre basically going off music beats with how clusterfucked the visuals are
u should check out just shapes and beats its like a bullet hell but with the music incorporated into each level

God I love this entire concept, akin to how Hi-Fi Rush sat down and worked on the idea of a boss fight in a rhythm game (of course this was more hack and slash) but sadly it was locked in one specific time signature, would love a rebirth of the genre and more interesting takes like this idea, sick shtuff!!

Dude I was completely mesmerized by that effect work that whole time - this more comes of as a love letter of a music video to me than simply a rhythm heaven remix. Your months of work on this have been pieced together beautifully. I’m continued to be astounded by what you can do with this platform. Beautiful work
