Calvin and Eagle are my two favourites. They strike me as nice young men, one calm, cool and methodical the other wild, spirited and passionate. Opposing ends of the scale, phenomenal athletes and immensely entertaining
Innova players be like “for my distance drivers I carry seven destroyers” 😂 Love watching Calvin play, feel like he would be really fun to play with in person.
We need more Calvin content - especially since he’s the only top 5 - maybe top 10 pro now on team Innova, let’s see him get the spotlight a little more! :)
The big arms rarely go over a 12 speed, pretty amazing. I found a brand new 14 speed in a champion type plastic at a local course and just laughed and put it on the basket. Big fan of Calvin, always rooting for him!
In a tournament you don't ever need to throw 600 feet so going over speed 12 just means less control. You only see MVP players throwing 14 speed really and maybe Trilogy. Now in distance comp you'll see 13-14 used.
True, but they compensate that with stability usually. What I can do with a stable speed 11 driver is different than what Calvin, Simon, etc. can do with it. Mine is for wind, skips, spike hyzers and so on. Theirs are straight 550ft bombs, or the other things I mentioned.
@@brian6speed I throw mainly MVP, and have tried a few of the high speed drivers but my hand isn't large enough for it to be comfortable. They flew really well when I did things right, but wasn't worth the trouble to change. For me, the Wrath, Fission Photon, and Trace are where it's at, at speed 11.
So Stoked he did an updated in the bag, not really much difference since his last ITB but that’s why I like the guy and his bag so much, as an innova guy myself I always look to limit molds and Calvin always keeps minimal molds and gets all uses out of them. I do however bag a zone, teebird, and boss but have very similar bag to Calvin.
@@brian6speed The marketing genius of Innova at it's best! Buy discs that our pros don't even throw! It might work, or it might cut your hand...it's a surprise with every disc!

Krait is a great disc I have one in blizzard plastic (141g) it’s super fun to throw, rip it full power a lot of hyzer it’ll flip up and still get a nice big s curve for a drive around 350’ which is my max! I recommended it to anyone who throws 9-10-11 speed discs

Well... Y'all are wondering what pros throw and how... That's all very good. Important items that are highly needed during the rounds ... Nobody has done it yet. A pro is a pro.. took awhile to get there but how? What kind of foods, energy sources, bad weather gear, types of backpack bags for stepping Stone players from young to adult stages.. what kind of clothes, footwear, how about helping out on the rules? No video there either... There's other ways to enjoy watching pro disc golf, but better if we knew what to bring at a tourney, how to get focused and ready... Other than that ... Pretty boring seeing a new guy talk about what he throws... Just saying.
Calvin is great man, love the guys entire vibe. But I couldn't help to think that this dude needs better discs. The fact that every Innova disc can be drastically different than others of the same mold, color, and run, is still shocking to me. How is that acceptable at all? I get how pros that get to choose from hundreds of discs can find something that works, but for the average player...how do replace something? How do you try to cycle discs without trying out 10 first to find the right one? I just honestly think every amateur player would benefit from not throwing Innova.
The depicted flight chart didn't reflect the description on how the disc flies for him. He says no matter how much heizer I give the disc and it will still turn. The chart shows no turn, ok. The chart has just as much consistency as their discs, none.
he doesn’t throw anything understable. hence the reason for the flight charts, which are for brand new discs out of the box. every company has variance between runs, its the nature of plastic. The stuff he is flipping is beat in (worn) and he throws at a professional arm speed. Become a student of the game before becoming a critic.
@@michaelyahner6695 You have little no idea what my knowledge and skill levels are. Innova is the most inconsistent manufacturer out of all the manufacturers. I have almost spent two thousand dollars on three molds in one plastic. I have Wraiths that have more turn than some Mambas. That's ridiculous the Wraith is supposed to have a turn of -1 the Mamba -5. Innova is so inconsistent it's funny. Having the flight chart reflect how a disc flies new instead of how it flies for him. Is going to be less useful for someone trying to replicate the specific shot. A person more than likely isn't going to have enough time to beat in a new disc. They will have to purchase a disc that flies like the beat in disc. Also you probably meant to say that he doesn't throw any new discs that are understandable. He definitely throws a few understable discs from his discretion. A disc that starts stable then becomes understandable with use. Is now an understable disc for all intents and purposes.

@@Vogurt Which one of these is over-stable: 7/5/0/2 or 7/4/-1/3. The Eagle has initial under-stability plus more turn at the end...for me that is still "under-stable", especially at speed 7! @@fredygump5578 the lower glide of the eagle eliminates the -1 turn value. The flight numbers are not the be all, end all for how discs fly. They are relative numbers meant to give a general idea.
