awesome takes as always! i definitely see the appeal of this kind of show more from a storytelling perspective when you put the characters and their individual journeys front and center~
Well done analysis & very deep in The Elite's characterization and psyche. I love the fact of slow burn and long term story telling so we can see closer on how sublime the plot is. It's relatable to common people like after viewing this amazing mini-doc. Thank you and keep on doing amazing videos like this :)
Obviously Michael Jordan played basketball, otherwise Space Jam wouldn't exist. Another great video like always! Never thought I'd watch a video about wrestling. Hope you're staying safe.
Having never watched wrestling, I had no idea that it involved anything outside of the actual wrestling matches! I knew that there was storytelling, but I was under the impression it all happened during the matches. I guess the wrestlers are just in character 24/7?
Oh yeah, there's tonnes more than just the matches. Of course there's the build-up interviews and promos, but like, there was a series of comedy sketches and even a musical number on Dynamite recently! It's not quite 24/7 like it used to be (wrestlers have been fired from WWE in the past for behaving in a way that their characters wouldn't while off the clock) but it's close enough, when you take into account the main show, the backstage promos, RUclips shows and social media presences.
"Tagteam partner and best friend" is that what kids are calling it nowadays?
Okay you win
Loved this. Framing all the wrestling with actual character flaws/motivation really helps show off the storytelling.
Been waiting for this one for a while!
It was delayed a little because of some tech and health issues, but it's here now!

Commenting for the algorithm, love your vids!

Thank you, calling it a mini-doc makes it sound way more professional than I intended! I am honoured!
When Hangman wins the world championship off Omega in 2022 it's gonna be the loudest crowd in AEW history and for good reason
Hell yes! It's going to blow the roof off wherever they are
This was great♥️
Amazing video!
Thanks!
This is most amazing, entertaining and complex storytelling in Wrestling.
And no other storyline comes close and yes I'm aware of Bloodline storyline.
We love sad yee haw man.
In this house, we love sad yeehaw man
I've never given a crap about wrestling but all the small character moments you've shown here are oddly compelling.
Wrestling is great! Give it a shot, it's basically real life anime, especially the stuff AEW and New Japan are making right now
Awesome video.

Of course, yes! He was the Space Jam guy!

Whats the music playing dying the Kenny Omega part?
If I recall correctly, it's Battle Cry, his AEW theme
About the only way I could relate to Page more is if I bought a pair of cowboy boots and changed my accent
That's a mood
Expecting a part 2 in 2023 when hangman wins the championship and the elite fully reunite lol
You think they're likely to reunite? Even after all this Super Elite crap with Callis? Well, I think there'll have to be a part two if you're right...
kyoooot
I think you meant to say Hangman lost to Undeniable Legend and arguable best Wrestler of the last 2 decades Chris Jericho.
I mean he did lose to the best wrestler in the last 2 decades. But not during that match 😎
dont like hangman
