I think guardian has so much value for other tanks. I don't want it nerfed just because of Torv. I love Torv, but he is oppressive already. I think Longer CDs or less movement speed or even does 180 per shot would be ok.
Andrew please read this, please I love the item change but I'm worried for a lot of the champions that are indirectly buffed because of the items. Like you previously said about evie when she almost get buffed in previous patch. They will buff a champion then that champion becomes OP and then they will nerf the wrong thing about that champion which will make the champion worse before the buff so to prevent that from happening. I would like you to seriously suggest these to the devs in your videos. 1. ask the devs to seriously decrease the prices of every items or increase the credit distribution for every game mode so people can buy items faster 2. Increase items that can be bought from 4 to 5 or even 6. This way, the item's utility that has been split a lot can be bought as a set again or people can have crazier item synergy. I love the item change but it feels lacking because we can't buy enough items and I feel like a lot of champions balance will be messed up by the items changes.
I think they should make recharge take longer to use by 1 second or so, maybe even scaling with how much guardian you have. I may be a little biased since I always have the recharge movement speed card at 5 and that would indirectly increase the duration of the speed boost, but having the recharge take a little extra time to bring yourself to maximum health would make it so its that much easier to kill him even when recharging for the scenarios where he is taking a lot of incoming damage or is already extremely low, and would also make it so it takes just a little longer for him to get back into battle with his weapon or nullify. A very small change, but I think it would be a nice adjustment.
Of note- Wrecker still outpaces Guardian. While Guardian is cheaper, Wrecker is still more effective. With Wrecker 2's 60% shield effectivness, you match Guardian 3's 60% increase, at 900 credits vs 1500 credits. The real issue is that wrecker, and champs that can effectively use wrecker, are now much more important to buy in general, which will make buying items more linear and less diverse in options. Also, while it is 900 vs 1500 credits, it is likely that only two +/- one person will be buying Guardian, while it is likely that 3 to 5 people (the entire team) will be buying Wrecker to fight back. This turns into 2700 to 4500 pooled credits vs 1500 to 3000 pooled credits. All of this just to *match* Guardian, something that isn't cared for in current Paladins, where it is expected that stacks of Wrecker are to be met with no resistence. Now, resistence is futile... almost futile, anyways. Edit: Just realized they reduced the price of Wrecker from 300 to 275. This means Wrecker is a *little* better at outpacing Guardian, but the points still stand.
Shoutout to the guy in chat who was just wrong about resilience not working against Khan ult. Also did you ever get confirmation which new one you have to buy for it now? It was honestly the first thing I thought about when I saw the patch notes and I still don't know because I haven't played on the ptb.
I would have to imagine that it's exactly as he said in the video, when he was asking about it: Unbound will affect how long Khan can hold you (bc that part's a Stun,) and Sentinel will affect how far he can throw you (bc that's a Knockback.)

They removed her due to a bug with her shield perk that allowed her to give her team infinite shielding and make them near unkillable. She should be back next patch
The resilience split is really stupid bc if I'm going against a stun Damba I'll need to buy both items? For his reload stun and his ult stun?? That's such a waste of credits and slots for items. They should've just made ult stuns last a mandatory of like 1.5 or 2 seconds despite resil, since it's an ultimate attack.

It is fun and funny right now but these new items will further increase the gap between seasoned players and newer ones. It is all good till these items add to the annoyance. Definitely not going to be a good time playing against a 5 stack😢
Now guardian is not really overtuned but rather wrecker being at a higher price making it harder to get, and don't cry to me saying this item makes you buy wrecker each game, we been doing that with fernando makoa nyx for a while it's not news, what news is the matches will be a bit longer and team fights will rely on much more strategic planning rather than rushing for kills, torvald isn't as great as you made it sound, a good fix I suggest for this whole shields situation is to add diminishing return for shields just like how we have it for life rip and reload speed, this will hopefully not only fix torv but fix all shields, we NEED 5 slot for items 4 don't cut it because of haven and resilience split, tune down armor plating, a fun idea slightly buff moral boost chronos and nimble just slightly to make it so other items don't be as instant buy, hoard item is actually fine and it working in spawn makes sense to me and isn't overpowered, bloodbath is actually very bad for its price and in comparison to other healing items, veteran is good, meditation is amazing specially for flanks and off tanks, trigger scent or whatever the name is fine in term of of percentage it adds, nerf duration from 5s to 4s and more price to it cause it's too cheap, bulldozer needs an additional effect or still no one will buy it more dmg to deployables don't cut it for taking an item slot, idea for an effect could be adding ammo count scaling from 3/6/9 per tier, that's all for the item store, now pls anyone who read until here give this feed back to the devs via discord or the forms , since I currently can't/unable to sadly

I agree, if Torvald is overperforming from this, then the logical step is to nerf torvald but keep guardian decently useful for other tanks

They're both cc durations. You only need the og resilience item.

I dislike this update very much. My Mains are being gutted to the point that if what i saw sticks next Wednesday im dropping them.
Torv is just stupid... so nooby and still sooo op even before the changes that are coming. Just neerf torvald not the item that helps every tank
