Did you ever regret getting independent…. Look at French Polynesia… people there got French passports, all benefits from France, free healthcare and education…. All social support You would be the same under British… was it worth it
No, it would not have been the same as France. England never gave the Jamaicans who came to the UK in the 1950's and 1960s a British passport. Instead, when the Jamaicans with other Caribbean people to help rebulid England, they faced intolerable racist abuse and discrimination.
