Hey just a question, have you ever tried an s grind on any of your blade projects? It helps with the surface tension of whatever you are cutting.

One thing I appreciate about your content is that you always seem to be striving to improve your craft. It's always excellent to see videos about a new skill you've picked up and then see said skills used practically in projects like this one. Well done video, like always.

It’s nice seeing that your actually forging out the “forged” blade.. so many channels have “forged blade” in the description but really they just straighten out and flatten a spring and then trace a blade pattern to cut out with a grinder.. I like Blacksmithing and seeing the techniques used to get the shapes and bevels by hand.. anyone can just cut out a stencil.. and the detail you put into that handle.. damn..

You did quite a few videos on the tools you use (mostly because you restored then for use) but ever thought of making a short video on the protective equipment you use? Maybe some examples of what's worth paying more for, what turned out to suck or be a waste of money? For someone like me who's looking at setting up a workspace it would be super helpful.

Some people don't like the sponsor spots. Maybe they're upset that a RUclipsr is paying the bills.
I prefer a sponsor over random ads. At least I know the creator is actually getting paid for it. And... Most of the time they'll throw their own spin on the products as well. This one pointed out that you can wear cordless buds under earmuffs. Nice...

It's a differential hardening technique so the edge is harder than the spine. It was traditionally used on "samurai swords" and usually produces a visual effect (hamon) on the blade as well.
