I don't think I've ever consciously thought about the difference between how primary/secondary/tertiary is used for amines vs other groups. I love how you spell everything out and explain so clearly. This is becoming my favorite chemistry channel.
always love your videos, I am online class in chemistry and YOU are actually my chemistry teacher, I appreciate all of the videos and great tutorials. Thank you!!!
I'll add my voice to the small chorus of people below who've said you're they're favorite O-chem channel. You're now mine as well. Thanks for your efforts and I hope you see lots of growth.
Thanks so much! Very helpful as I'm in the midst of reviewing for my DAT! Is there any difference in content between this playlist and the old playlist? Any updates? Or is the difference between the 2 negligible?
They will be very similar. The biggest difference is the format as the new playlist is largely being produced using a whiteboard based upon lots of feedback whereas the old one was produced with powerpoint and a green screen. The videos in the new playlist tend to be a little longer and will include some new things here and there. In fact the biggest difference so far is that the new playlist includes this lesson on functional groups which was absent from the old. Hope this helps and happy studying!
Hello Chad, I've been going through 2 of your playlists for Ochem and noticed some differences in the number and content of the videos. I was wondering which playlist would best prepare me for the Ochem section on the DAT exam. I wish I could watch both but I don't have much time. Thanks!
I'm glad this resource is available to everyone who needs it - I cannot think and mourn plenty gifted students who were permanently discouraged from subject they were passionate about by inept, lazy, misguided or simply plain bad teachers. Thanks to your effort people from all over the world have equal access to quality education at their leisure and pace. What an incredible value You have provided to all of us - I am extremely grateful.
Hi Chad, at the 23 min mark you mention the thiol and sulfide groups and imply that you did include them but I don't see them anywhere in this video. Did you end up editing that section out? Do you have a different video that covers them? Also, thank you so much for making these. I wouldn't be making it through my premed courses without you.
I have postponed learning functional groups for 3? 4? Maybe 5 years now!! Because they just seemed super scary and i was afraid of them. Literally. But look at me now! Finding your youtube channel was the best thing happenin to me as a chem major so thank you thank you thank you.
Hi Chad You are such a great tescher😍😍. I love the you you teach. You have a great capacity to explain the topic to us Students. I am really blessed that i found your channel. Thanks a lot for your help and love towards students.❤️❤️ Love from germany.
That is indeed the case Jacob. There will often be a couple videos at the end of the playlist that I'm still in the process of adding the time stamps, descriptions, etc. Know that they'll be coming soon! Happy Studying!
