  • Let's walk around Spilimbergo, a colorful small town located on the banks of the Tagliamento river, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
Spilimbergo was an important medieval hub, as a result this small town is rich in Renaissance buildings and boasts a beautiful circular castle, where you can admire the "Palazzo Dipinto" (Painted Palace) sporting 15th-century frescoes all over its facade.
Spilimbergo is also known for it's Mosaic School of Friuli, a renowned training center, attracting students from all over Italy and the world.
Walking through the main street "Corso Roma" everywhere we'll look we'll see frescoed "palazzi" which house the many shops, restaurants, and bars the town offers.
The street leads to the main square where the Cathedral is located.
Not far from the church there's a small bridge and after crossing it we'll be faced with the most beautiful frescoed palazzo of Spilimbergo, the famous "palazzo dipinto".
We'll end our walk with the spacious view from the "Comune" (Town Hall) of the town.
