- I am taking you to a walking tour of Istanbul's one of the main historical areas Beyazıt and show you the secret place you can eat the best doner for the best prices where locals of Istanbul eat.
The Doner place is very small and self-service, like street food but across the street, there is a small shop where you can sit down and eat. It is not a restaurant you can relax and sit for hours and enjoy, rather a place you can have quickly your delicious doner kebab sandwich for a lower price while resting a bit than continue to your tour to discover new places around Istanbul's historic area.

The Forum And The Arch of Theodosios

The Forum of Theodosius (φόρος Θεοδοσίου, also known as Forum Tauri) was built during the reign of Theodosius I (379-395). It was located on the Mese (the main street of Constantinople) west of the Forum of Constantinople and Hagia Sophia. Possibly the largest forum of Constantinople, it had a monumental column crowned with a statue of Theodosius and a triumphal arch.

The Bayezid II Hammam dates back to the 16th century when Sultan Bayezid II commissioned it as part of the complex around the nearby Beyazit Mosque. The Museum displays many items relevant to the Turkish bath, such as copper jugs, water bowls, towels, and bath shoes. Helpful texts in Turkish and English explain the origins and history of Turkish baths in Istanbul, as well as the spread of Turkish baths to Western European cities in the 19th century.

Wow!! I cannot believe it. My partner and I ate there last year. We happened to walk past and smell the kebab and just had to wait in line (no matter how long it took) we even ordered an extra roll to take home and eat later that evening. Yummy 😋 🤤

The tea sets which you have shown in the start of video are sooo beautiful!! Abla i wanna ask a question about "Blue Eye" what is the significance of the " Blue Eye" in Turkey???? İ am curious to know about this because i have seen it alot in Turkey.
May I answer? Blue eye, "nazar" is against jinx, especially against someone jinxing you (or your business, etc.). It's a protective talisman. It was believed that someone can put a curse on you by looking at you badly, sometimes without intention and sometimes intentionally. Nazar protects from all types of such curses. This talisman is also called the "evil eye", as once it was believed that especially blue eyes are evil, so using the blue eye against someone's evil was basically countermeasure. It isn't just Turkish symbol, it is widespread all over Middle East (including Greece), but it is very widespread in Turkey. Its origin is most likely ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia.

I had donner at a shop in topkapi area with fried sweet pepper and fried aubergine and two types of sauces, white sauce and tomato sauce. I really2 like that, the veggies complemented the meat nicely. Delish !

Yesss. The first time I went to Istanbul our hotel was near şehzadebasi mosque. 2 minute walk. Actually upset I didn't go back the other 2 times I visited Istanbul.
