@@FriendlyLich yeah. Didn't know that that skill dealt THAT MUCH damage. And I didn't prepare death ward, otherwise i was done and he was dead. Cuz even if i fell to 1hp i had the heals from Holy hammer from divine intervention and mass healing word and preserve life. + 3 other morons that could attack him. I just really really thought he was easy even tho he always scared the shit out of me. He was 28 hp away from death. Twenty-fking-eight
Fun fact. I have 600 hours in this game and have not even hit level 10 or been to act 3 on a single character. I’m gonna make one last new character and try to beat it. Idk if I should do solo or full party though.
quick question from a guy preparing his solo honor mode as a full bladelock: did you take helldusk helmet for the crit passive or because you didn't bother with devil's sight? if yes, i'm curious of what king of invocations you prefered. I always tought diadem of arcane synergy was a go to for bladewarlock, especially with the bhaalist armor. anyway gg that was smooth as hell
Thank you! =) I did get Devil's Sight. It is as you say for crit immunity. Diadem is awesome but I value crit immunity higher. Not saying that it's the correct choice but crits are real scary. I do have a build video (in description) that is very close to what I ended up running. The difference is that I switched out Hex for Fireball at higher level and I changed class leveling order to: Fighter 1, Cleric 1, Warlock 5, Fighter 2 and rest into Warlock. Last I checked helldusk helmet was bugged. You couldn't actually see through magical darkness like devil sight, eversight ring, etc. So you couldn't stand in darkness and target a ranged target with EB. You have to leave darkness, cast, then move back.
@@FriendlyLich yeah i Can get why you wanna avoid that random Crit 😆 thank you! Well my Idea was to try a solo honour mode without multiclassing and warlock (especially fiend) seemed the most sell-sufficient: controls, damage, tankyness, aoe, escape... the early levels might be rough tho
@@FriendlyLich yeah atm i'm hesitating between gith for medium/misty step and drow for free Darkness/faery light, i find it pretty cool, especially if i go greatweapon master at lvl 4. With shadow Armor/infernal robe/ring of protection and brazzer of defense i might get 20 AC pretty fast +fire and cold resistance. Seemed fair for act 1.
I am a Bard/paladin and Astorian is a Ranger/rogue/fighter with small cross bows thinking of respecting for war cleric for last level. Wyll is full Warlock. ShadowHeart is light cleric/evolution wizard he does lots of reverberation stacks. I will take any help.
@@mathewlortie4270 I'm thinking Globe of Invulnerability might save you from the legendary action, but I do _not_ know that for a fact. The party sounds solid. Also, save big nukes for that last stretch! You got this 💪

There are two crystals near the doorway you enter by which are not destroyed by his big aoe and can be used to hide behind for the 2nd and later AoEs if you cant kill him as quick as @FriendlyLich did. Check the [!] debuff isnt on you and reposition until its gone. You need to stay near enough to get to them, movement speed and fly help. A slower fight will be grindier so bring lightning resist and potions!

I find it funny the fact the Emperor brushes off the fact he founded Baldurs Gate, like,"Its in the past no biggie." But since he is an illithid now he doesnt have his human emotions anymore 😅 but great job on your victory 🎉
How are you doing so much damage with your weapon? Usually in my playthroughs it’s magic that’s the heavy hitter, with karlach and laezel doing around 20-30 damage a hit 60-70 chance to hit, but you’re getting at least 40 with basically a guaranteed hit
The armor I’m using is called Bhaalist Armor and gives nearby enemies vulnerability to piercing damage. Which doubles the damage I do with the spear :)
Is there a reason you can’t wear a shield? Does GWM in this game require you get a kill with a two handed weapon for the BA attack? Its not like that in 5E if it is
Oh I can 100% wear a shield, I do that when I fight Raphael. You do get the BA attack without a two-handed weapon. I was worried about not getting Ansur down before a third legendary action (not sure if he does that or not, but I did not want to risk it) so I went without a shield.
