      +Danjovi .sagat how did u take off the adapter thing on top

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  8 лет назад +1

      I used a crimper its like a pair of scissors to cut the adapter off, be sure you are cutting around the wire not straight through. :)

    All my wires were severed. I cut the wire holder off, stored the wires, twisted them back together and put the unit back after using insulation tape . I just duct taped the wire around the bar to the unit and it's solid. Works great.

    Excellent. thanks. Got this issue with two wired controllers. obviously a design fault or poor/cheap material choice... but looks relatively easy to fix. thanks again for the video :-)

    Thanks bro! Fixed it only by cutting and merging the cables with tape :D

  • @MIMPOYACE

    Thank you a lot, I repaired my controller.
    In my case I didn't find any cuts or twists among the wires so I had to remove about 4 inches from the cable to make sure I got over the broken wire then connected it again, Thought someone might find a similar problem.

    Familiarize yourself with your camera's minimum focus distance. Also, you want the wire to wick up the solder. You might need to add some flux into the mesh of wires you tied together to get them to suck up the solder a little better.

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  7 лет назад +1

      MyCoolester it will be just the wire. The circuit should be fine.

    • @Tuatara1989
      @Tuatara1989 7 лет назад

      Yea, and if you don't have a soldering iron, it'll most likely still work if you wrap the wires together and tape them (insulate them from the other wires!).

    • @Tuatara1989
      @Tuatara1989 7 лет назад

      MyCoolester: I'm no expert, but let me weigh in! Are you absolutely sure? I think a broken cable is often not clearly visible. Does it matter whether you move the controller or the cable or does it keep happening even if it's perfectly still?
      If it still happens then, well, I don't think anyone here knows how to fix that. If the controller is not old, you should contact Customer Support. If it is, I'd just throw it out. If you're into DIY projects, you can save both the cable and analog sticks for future projects (you have to unsolder them though). The cable often breaks and you can replace it, you analog sticks get crappy when they get really old.

      +Danjovi .sagat I accidentally cut the red wired what do I do

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  8 лет назад

      you will need to strip some of the red coating of both ends of the red wire and twist them together, it should work. I hight recommend a soldering iron if it persists. Sorry to hear that.

  • @Coletje
    @Coletje 7 лет назад

    Thanks for the video, having the same problem, might try it out.
    About your focus issue though. :p
    If you want the camera to focus, you need to move the cam away from the thing you are filming. You keep moving it closer, which means the closer it is, the harder it is to find the focus. Move it away, find the focus, then slowly move it closer until it unfocuses again. Right before that happens is sweet spot. That's the closest you can get with the cam you have. If it's a phone, you can tap the screen on the spot you want to focus on, then you tell the camera which part is the important part and it will try to focus on that.
    Just a friendly tip for the future :)
    Thanks for the video.

    I'm glad I came across your video after countless hours of softwarerelated troubleshooting.
    Question: Was in your case the insulation also damaged?
    Because mine was fine and it took me some time to find the spot where the wire was disconnected

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  8 лет назад +1

      The case insulation was fine nothing damaged there, the problem was located underneath where the wire had broken off, I had to cut the insulation open to get to the wire basically.

      Hello Christopher, sorry to hear about this issue.
      If it is definitely the Xbox 360 controller you will need to strip off the adapter thingy and reconnect the wires as one of more of the mini wires has snapped underneath the wire sleve. As shown in 1:39 in the video.
      Did I get the controller right?
      This video can show you how to get the controller reconnected.

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  7 лет назад +1

      How i figured it out is wear and tear, funnily enough it happened to another wired controller of mine recently.
      When the wire gets wrapped around the controller when its not being used, it causes stress on the wires internally at the top i callled the "adapteer thingy"
      The more the wire gets wrapped around the controller the more strain it causes in the wires, until one day an internal wire becomes disconnected and poof this problem happens.
      Its not your fault its bad design.

    May i ask how to put the controller properly when not in use?

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  7 лет назад +1

      Nj Jt when you wrap the wire around the control be sure not to wrap the beginning of the wire around the controller. it will cause less strain on the wires, be sure to leave it sticking out but the rest wrapped around if that makes sence.
      I am led to believe when the whole wire is wrapped around the controller it causes stress on the internal wires.
      Great question
      sorry i didnt mention that!
      .

      Should be the same issue as the official xbox 360 wired controller, the wire has split. Not your fault, the wires are very thin. They look cool.

    hello I cut off all wires and then connect all wires it does not work

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  7 лет назад

      Connect the wires on the controller, be sure to expose some of the wire on both sides.
      white connects to white
      red connects to red
      green connects to green
      black connects to black
      so the colors match and connect to xbox or pc.
      You should see it work. It may take a few attempts keep checking the wires..
      I believe you can do it.

      Akbar Hackef Sorry to hear dude. strip the ends of the wires and connect them back together.
      Mkae sure the colours match
      green connects to green
      red connects to red
      white connects to white
      black connects to black
      once there all connected the controller will work.

    Hi! My problem is that my xbox 360 wired controller always change to player 2 when I played rocket league. I'm supposed to play using player 1 but keeps changing to player 2 everytime I play rocket league. Does anyone can help me identify the problem of my controller? I've tried uninstalling the device in Device Manager and it will tell me to restart my computer. It's a bullocks to keep restarting my computer all the time when I play rocket league. And sometimes when I'm in the middle of the match my controller messed up again. :( It would be helpful if anyone could help me out. Thank you!

      Try folding the cable backwards until you find an angle that works, then use duct tape to affix the cable to the back of the controller. As long as you don't touch the cable anymore it should work well

    • @Danjovisagat
      @Danjovisagat  8 лет назад

      Most commonly it will be located underneath the adaptor as that is the part of the wire which gets the most wear and tear over time.

  • @hawk9mm
    @hawk9mm 7 лет назад +1

    Well it worked after I took an hour and change just to jerry rig the thing since the wire is so small. Since these controllers are made by possibly the worst work force in history and using the lowest quality materials the fix lasted 6 days before the POS started shorting out again then out right died. Good idea though since it was clearly a problem for me, too bad Microshit has such poor QC for such a simple item.
