    Where can you get it?
    You can download it from the SketchUcation extension warehouse
    Tool Functions
    Today’s tool is a fairly simple tool from Fredo6 designed to help you shear curves in your SketchUp models. This can be useful for many things, but it really helps you take curves and shear them up.
    This can be especially useful for the creation of ramps.
    The way it works is that you select a single curve, or a closed curve loop, then run Curvishear to shear the shape up, creating a ramp shape.
    One thing to note is if you have a curve made up of multiple edges, you may consider welding the edges together to create a single curve - otherwise you might get errors.
    You can set both the start and end elevations of your ramp.
    Fredo recommends coupling this extension with the Skinning application contained within Curviloft in order to create ramps with skins.
    You can also shear up single curves.
    You can also use this to shear up closed curves, like a circle.

    Hi Justin I was wondering if you know of a plugin similar to this which allows you to create a ramp to a specified slope? For example if i drew a line and specified a 1:12 slope the plugin would generate a slope along that line at 1:12.
    Cheers

    Hey Justin!
    I'm new to your channel and so far I love it! I'm an archaeologist who specializes in recreating ancient architectural models in Sketchup for museums and universities. One thing I wanted to ask, and I know you're not covering it in this video, is if you know how to take a 3D object and translate it to a 2D object while retailing the details. My example being a fluted Greek column that I've made that I need to have be a pilaster (the false, flat columns that jut out from walls as decoration). I can't find an extension for something like that exactly, something like a reverse Flowify, and was wondering if you had some idea.
    Thank you for all of the amazing videos, ideas, and help!

    Hello, this works for me thank you very much sir!! But my problem is, I'm working on with a slope that have a different width from top height to base, and it keeps on making a top height on the other side which I don't want, any idea on how to solve this problem?

    Firstly, thanks for your tutorials, they're really helpful.
    With this plug in however, if I am trying to turn a complicated curve into a curved ramp, but it doesn't seem to work.
    Its not a simple, two straight lines and two curves, like most ramps seen in tutorials. Its meant to be a landscape ramp. Any advice?

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  4 года назад

      Sorry, not really sure - it's kind of specific to your curve. Did you weld them into polylines using the weld extension?

    • @jutisda1
      @jutisda1 4 года назад

      TheSketchUpEssentials Thanks for the reply. I did weld them into curves, but it just doesn’t seem to work.
      The shape is less like two curves and two straight lines, like the ramps you’ve shown, but more like two long curves and two short curves.
      Any advice would help! :)
