Why would someone want to ignore terrain that's stupid
they won't cause they know about these bugs but it would cost money to them to fix it, maybe 5 more billions of $ revenue from Lux skins and they might consider fixing it, after they release the next overpowered champ of course. Fortuntelly an unbalanced game like lol doesn't have a competitive scene and not like they ban anyone for playing bad or leaving custom games, worlds is just a myth as well it's not real afterall how dumb would it be to make such a big event for such a broken bugged game

This is what happens when a tech company lays off half of their experienced workforce to increase their profit numbers to shareholders, completely disregarding if they'll ever be able to actually make things work. You KNOW they'll outsource workforce or hire again in less than a year when shit hits the fan

I mean... Shen was disabled for years from pro play because his ult would sometimes not teleport him and they could not fix it in their spaghetti code until they literally did a full code revamp.
When a champion is inside terrain, the system forces them out by raycasting forward until it hits a wall. The raycast failed for the current terrain so it goes on until it finds terrain and moves the champion at the closest edge which is calculated by the dot product of the raycast direction relative to the champion direction or terrain normal. It's not spaghetti code. Whoever wrote it made a mistake.
Interesting. Any ideas why this happens for smolder in particular? Other champs can jump over it but dont get bugged. Maybe due to the free movement in E?
actually just spreading misinformation. In reality, it has to do with how movement works in league. The reason smolder TP'd is because she was snapped back to the ground which the game reads as a very high movement speed. This extends the hitbox, and the VI Q over in redbuff simply intersected that hitbox. You can see the armor break passive from VI w on smolder when she tp'd.
there is also this weird lee sin coded as teleporting in random position during second Q so he can get random damage or steal camp or anything that hit this position, they must have patched it after all those year, no way they used the same code for a movespeed buff in a new champion

But it is nearly impossible to pull off with any other cchamp due to how the code calculates how much a champ can dash until it collides with terrain. You can try this with Malphite for example to get extended range by predicting a trajectory that barely makes it to the other end of a wall and you get a longer dash. if you fail, you get a shorter dash. go check riven clips of the past whre she could teleport as well to a very far edge. The reason why Vi can hit him in that state is because he enters a non collideable with terrain state and is registered as a phased body. Theres a hack on league code to be avle to target champs in terrain because of Kayn existing where the first rule of traversal would make it Impossible to hit units inside terrain
