What do you need to know bro what games , I have the regular rg35 and it can play every game well , don't expect much N64 and PS1 , or PSP since this doesn't have the analog

It has God of war and other games that use thumb sticks because you can pair a Bluetooth controller to device and you could change the controller layout to switch the thumb stick to the d-pad.

Hey Brainiac, try reading the instructions before reviewing a system. Push the power button in to go from Standard D pad to Analog mode. Then you can use the D pad like an Analog stick

wondered why they didn't have a backlight. Why not 4 buttons like a snes controller. Wonder if they had a way to connect to the tv. I ended up getting the gameboy player for snes and gamecube. that was it for me. still link up.
The downside on this device, in my opinion, is the lack of RAM (1GB). it's just not enough to run certain 3d games specially if is shared with the Os. FFIX, for example, runs very slow when I loaded my saved game on disc 3. The same goes for psp and some Dreamcast games. Even movies videos will not play smoothly. It's still a nice device to play gb,gbc,gba, and retroarch it's the way to go, not the main launcher.
1:40 "kind of strange there's no HDMI out cable here" Really I have never seen a retro handheld come with an HDMI cable. The SF2000 comes with a cheap 3.5mm to RCA cable. That the closest I've seen to video out cables coming with one of these things.

So you are supposed to use the Retroarch games list on the main menu. Meaning the second icon on the list . It emulates the games way better even PSP and Dreamcast. RGT chose the wrong option to play the games on
I got the rg35xxh off of ali express and love it … i wonder how much different it is performance wise from yours. I have psp mame gb advance so nice to have all 3 in one lol. Love that i can play gb advance astro boy and og diablo on same too. Altho og diablo you have to restart and not from ra to get the buttons to work so dont know if its quirky with other games too but as long as there is a work around thats cool.
God damnit Shawn your clickbait title! These Anbernics are pretty great though, I have one myself and I’m quite satisfied with the quality they have for their price point. I bought one off Facebook marketplace used when I originally intended on looking into an Analogue Pocket, but it has more than sufficed my needs so I never bothered getting the pocket.
Some people enjoy older games for nostalgia, and curiosity. It’s the same with people that enjoy classic movies or read older books. It’s good to enjoy things that came before
It looks nice visually, but other then that I don't see anything particularly impressive that stands out about it. There are hundreds of these kind of bootleg consoles out there.

Got mine way before you and I live in Scotland so that's funny. Guess I'm the king of emulation. Also you press the power button to switch to thumbstick mode and your playing the wrong way. You need to play the retroarch section on the main screen and stay away from the game room
I don’t see the point of these little consoles anymore… even with iPhones playing ps1 games, PSP, N54 and all the previous gens… all the rest… I got a nice bluetooth controller… cheap so idk, I was about to get an Odin 2 but I think I’ll wait, sometime we’ll get DC and GC too I know it’ll happen
I have the rg35xxh which is the horizontal version but everything else is the same. I’ve been enjoying some retro games like golden sun and castlevania games on it. Definitely worth the $60 I paid! A lot of people recommend custom firmware, I just upgraded to the latest version of stock tho. Side note- they usually come with a cheap sd card that will lead to corruption in the future. If you put a name brand sd card in and flash the firmware it’ll run flawless.

What I do recommend is a new proper SD card if you get anything anbernic they ship crappy SDs and are liable to brick

I got mine last week, loaded batocera on a separate sd card and runs amazing
I bought mine last week and couldn't be happier with it. Castlevania Symphony of the Night runs great off the bat.

You have to tap the power button on certain emulators to switch from dpad to analog
If this thing had dual 3ds slider sticks for n64 it would be perfect.
the n64 did not have sliders so it wouldn't be perfect

Pro Tip: Use RA Games instead of Game Rooms. Especially to get that great GBA SP overlay with proper aspect ratio.
