I remember this generation of the Dodge Grand Caravan which was used for field trips when I went to the summer camp in Foxboro back in 1995-97, except that it was maroon with maroon interior from 1990 and as such it had a VERY scary buzzer in place of the chime and I used to be terrified of going on field trips in that Grand Caravan because the buzzer in that one was so scary, made worse by the fact that it was a double buzzer, so sometimes the driver would have the door open when the minivan was started so I would have to endure 2 MOPAR buzzers at the same time which were 100x worse than GMs buzzers ever were.
You may ask when was the last any of you has ever seen a 1st generation Chrysler minivan in this shape? For me, it's been 10 years. It's amazing how this one held up. Lots of these vans nowadays are all rusted out and scrapped, even the 2nd generation models. It's quite possible that there are not much of these vans left. Over 20+ years ago, we had a sky blue 1987 Dodge Grand Caravan LE. However, it did not have the wood grain on it. My parents bought it used in Spring 1992 and had it until around Fall of 1998.
My mom & dad both had this color van as woody's, dad's was an 84 Plymouth Voyager LE & mom's was an 87 Dodge Caravan LE, I had the pleasure of driving the 87.
My parents had one when I was a kid I remember my sibling and I would be sitting in the back seat while dad headed south to Branson Missouri for our August family vacation
My dad had this van long time ago :( good memories would've loved to drive it today
I wish I want a van like this
