more when you are comparing something. This dress is more beautiful than the other one. Most when we talk about something greatest in quality, quantity or extent. So it's like, she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. (We aren't comparing her but saying that she has the best beauty).
Some tips: Keep the presentation simple and minimalized. There are way too many words everywhere. Try to use less metalanguage as well. The visuals are great way to support your example sentences so +1 on that! Maybe an interesting way to teach: Try guided discovery. You can show this first by presenting pictures. Let say you have a picture of a tall person and a small person. Without saying any rules/ and showing the comparative, explain that you see a tall person and a small person and that the tall person taller and that the small person is smaller. Do this with one or two more pictures and then ask the viewers to write down what they have noticed in what you said. then show a few sentences on the screen. Ask the questions: What do you notice about these sentences? Is there any similarities? What do they mean? (maybe even ask to translate it to their native language if English is L2). The viewers are most likely to answer that they see that words have -er behind them and the use of ''than''. They will discover the ''rules'' of comparatives on their own. Give out an exercise where they will write a few examples similar to this. After doing all of this slowly introduce the rules. If the lesson follows the discovery guided method, the retainment and use becomes better. The risk of this is coming to wrong conclusions, so prepare very clear discovery questions!
