  • New concealed carry piece. . . excuse to make a new holster! This time for my new M&P Bodyguard 380. I've made leather pocket holsters like this before, but this time I included a front sight channel. This helps keep it from catching as the pistol is withdrawn.
The sponsor for this video, WUTA Leather, is one of those instances where I reached out to a company looking for collaboration opportunities. I've purchased several of their products through Amazon and have been impressed with their quality vs price. They were cool with it and sent me a few items I was in need of. In short, you don't have to spend a lot for good quality leather working tools.
I also asked for a discount for my viewers and WUTA gave me a code for purchasing direct from them (note I receive no commissions or kickbacks for this):
    Shopify store link: wutaleather.com/
use discount code "B1WGZXN65GSH" for 15% off your entire order

Good to see I'm not the only one to use craft foam as "simile" of leather.

Nice work. For pocket carry, I use rough side out and smooth side in. Grabs pocket material better & helps to ensure holster stays in pocket and doesn't come out with the draw.

Holster looks great. I have the BG as well. Look into getting the Galloway Santiago trigger system. Reduces the stroke length and smooths everything out. Same weight trigger, just much smoother and no light strikes.

I love the elegant but simplistic approach. I tried a square end for the top of the gun and sight channel a few years ago. Yours turned out much better. The natural look was brilliant. Any thing else would have been a distraction to the final product. As usual you have given me a new approach to a future project. THANK YOU, please keep sharing and inspiring.👍👍

I carry the S&W Body Guard myself, along with the Ruger LCP Max with the 12 round mag. Over the years I’ve been using virgin olive oil instead of neatfoot for my holsters, saddles and original antique western rigs. I found it keeps the leather fibers together over time.

The holster stays in the pocket. In my opinion. Unless you put it someplace else. Then flick it off with your finger.

Heck of a lot cheaper experimenting with foam than using the real stuff.

I was browsing thru your wonderful videos, as I sometimes do and realized I have never seen a good video on making a jackass rig. I want to make one but need some guidance. I know that would be long, but you did The Hand of God in several videos. Just a thought. Love your designs.

You always do beautiful work whether it's a simple pocket holster or a tooled gun belt and holster! As a side note, I own one of those particular pieces and its my least favorite of all i own! I can't hit anything if its out of arms reach and the trigger pull feels like its a half mile! 😂😂

Pocket carry is good now a days. Especially in states with red flag laws.
I made mine from goatskin that I had laying around for a long time. Its not real pretty but it keeps coins and keys from scratching the barrel crown. Also the covered trigger helps in keeping pens or anything else from pressing the trigger accidently when putting it in your pocket.
    Timely video sir! Thanks.
