      Needs “dump” approved bags! Lots of them! Lots of rakes! Some jugs of water! Such a craft, too, stone carving! We need people to get more involved, and report damages. It shouldn’t have to come out of our pocket individually, unless they are there free.

    Cool find! I think old cemeteries are beautiful! Growing up my mom was a secretary of a church built in 1780s that's still going to this day and has graves from the 18th century. Of course it's well kept. There are also graves from the Cherokee sprinkled nearby. It's amazing to see the changes in gravestones through the generations.

I hope if that place is haunted that they haunt who ever went in there and vandalized. Those childrens graves were so sad. Their sweet little images just frozen in time on thier grave markers. Would definitly love to see a night time video of this place, maybe catch some of thoses ghosts Big Steve was talking about. Thanks for sharing, Matt. And thanks to Big Steve for showing you this place. Be safe.

    Made my day to see your video! Very well done. Fascinating and interesting to see all the old tombstones. We have an old cemetery here in Florida where a lot of yellow fever victims are buried. Many have the old wooden crosses and hand made graves. You would like it. I'm hoping though it didn't get destroyed, the hurricane we had did so much damage. Anyways, awesome video and enjoyed listening to Big Steve

  • @andrewbrendan1579
    @andrewbrendan1579 5 лет назад +21

    Historic, fascinating and so sad. I've seen neglected cemeteries but not on this scale and right in the midst of a town. It's even more sad because burials still take place there. I wouldn't want my remains of those of people close to me buried there. I'm not able to get to the graves of my family members but they are buried where there is a cemetery association and I make a yearly donation for upkeep. Maybe something similar could be done at Mount St. Joseph.---I live in south-central Indiana and it's interesting to see the differences between cemeteries here and the one in this video.

    2 or 3 a.m. in the morning?! Oh no! So grateful for you two graveyard/cemetery adventurers. I love visiting cemeteries (only during the daytime ~ thank you!) because of the history displayed by the dates and some of the epithets, the peaceful atmosphere, and the opportunity to prayerfully pay respects to those who have finished their earthly pilgrimage. Job well done gentlemen! A happy and Blessed New Year 2019!

    Cemeteries are very interesting places..especially the older ones. I like researching different gravesites to find the history behind their deaths..Some very interesting results. Thanks for sharing this one.

    Scarlet fever was devastating to the children in the early 1900's. Child graves fill the majority of many cemeteries from this period.

    Odd the city still allows burials there but doesn’t keep up the property. In the larger cities of KS (my hm state), they’re maintained by funeral homes or mortuary or by privately owned cemetery owners Not sure how the smaller cities do it. My grandma & grandpa r buried in southern Arkansas in a cemetery that sits in the middle of a cow field. First time I ever had to wait 20 minutes for the cattle to cross in front of us so we could continue to the gate, LOL. (Sharp) county is responsible for the upkeep on it. They even put fresh flowers on every gravestone every month during nice weather. Makes me sad to see cemeteries unkempt like this one.

    Matt you never seem to amaze me! I am very upset by the way it has been let go. I really hope that you and Steve can get some help for it. Hugs from Maryland
