To me SOLOMON from SONGS FROM A LIONS' CAGE is the VERY best one. So brilliant composition with splenderful ideas. Other bands would have made a full album of that. ARENA put it all in ONE longtrack. I could here it over and over again... 🙂

A sa sortie je n'avais pas aimé cet album surtout en raison du chant que je trouvais un peu faiblard...grave erreur! Aujourd'hui ce Contagion fait partie de ces rares disques que je chéris et Rob Swoden a toute mon admiration! Une classe rare ce bonhomme...

Great vocalist!!!!
It's "Sowden", actually... and I agree he is a good vocalist, but in my opinion the 2. best vocalist of those who performed in Arena. The best they had, was Paul Wrightson. Now, Paul Manzi is singing there.
I think Snowden has more dramatic length, more intense feelings (deeper) than other ones (Manzi and Paul) for me by far,, Manzi is like a common singer of rock nothing special from the soul, good singer but big difference. But again is difficult for me to tell cause is something abstract, from evolution scope, Snowden poetry is more mature, more of its own,, the last album with Manzi don't pick me,, is so stereotype so clise.. I did not listen it more than 2 times. Snowden singing comes from a real sophisticated soul.
Arena are a superb band. They just ooze class. But if I were the bass player, I'd feel a bit left out!
