What you describe on instagram is in many cases visual art or early ideation processes instead of design. The difference being that design needs to be worked out to a certain degree and answer questions like purpose, intents, materiality, spacial devisions, structure, and more. That is not to negate the impact that parametric tools and AI have on the design process.
