I loved the bit where you mentioned the chairs from when you were growing up! The first thing I thought when I saw that card on the thumbnail was "that looks like caning on furniture!"
WOW I always try to find better ways to decorate the inside of my cards. You have really helped with this video. Thank you so much Jennifer for all your tips, ideas and designs.
You are amazing with such inspiration with card ideas!!! THankYou for sharing. I want to get into my craft haven and do lots of die cutting, sorting and prepping to get some cards started and completed. I also need to remember what you said about making multiple cards… “you’ve got your supplies out when making one card, why not make another one or two”🥰
That's so funny that you mentioned the chairs that looked like that background, because I think my grandma had similar ones! I even used to run my fingers along the pattern as a kid but didn't make the connection until you mentioned it! Thank you so much for that reminder! 💖 And thank you, as always, for your amazing videos!!! Your cards are so gorgeous and I love die cutting and using scraps, so this video was extra perfect for me! 💖
My husband does chair caning so I HAVE to get the Rattan Stripes and Garden Trellis Die Bundle! He's caned thousands of chairs that have that pattern. I'm not exaggerating. I hope I can make pretty cards with them. Thanks Jennifer for all your ideas!
My favorite videos of yours are when you use up scraps! So fun and innovative! My “Go-to” is to use the negative scrap from a die cut....either on the back of my ATC, the inside of the card or on the envelope. It looks super cool and is of course the same color as the main die cut used on the front of the card! TYFS! ❤️🦋💜
Whilst I adore your personality and character very much, I also admire and respect your creative instincts. These cards are wonderful, Jennifer, thank you! ♥️😍♥️ I would never have thought to stack those backgrounds like that! 🙃😂 I cannot wait for my shoulder to heal so I can get back to cardmaking! 💙🙏🏻
Hi. Thank you for sharing this and all your lovely cards. I was so pleased to find the second part as I really enjoyed the first one. Thank you again for another super video.
I often wonder how hard it is for you to decide to part with your mini works of art (unless you make multiples) by sending them out. I have that issue sometimes and then I always remember you saying: “You already have your supplies out, so why not make more than one?” This has really helped me when it comes to mailing my cards. I would love it if you would do a montage of some of your favorite card creations and share why you love them… But then, maybe that would take weeks or months to edit because you have so many gorgeous creations!!! 😮 Thank you always, Jennifer, for continuing to bring us fresh content each and every time you upload a new video. I’m grateful for the inspiration. These card examples are no exception. They’re all so beautiful.♥️
Those boho vases could also be pierced-type lanterns on another card. Maybe with a soft ink blend behind and around to look like light shining out through colored glass and a string hanging them?
Thank you, yet again, for these great ideas for inside of cards, plus the outer decorations. Also, I was looking through some older tutorials, whilst it was too cold to work outside, yesterday, and they were slider card variations you have demonstrated, and I got lots of reminders for different ways to use products you have used (and I have bought) and the alternate ways they can be used. I thank you for having the older videos for us to review again. I also have a question. When companys know you are going to demonstrate their new products, why done they realise there will be huge interest in those products, and make sure they have ample stocks for the surge in orders? I have frequently tried to order products you have show cased, only to find they are out of stock, and sometimes they aren't available for months after your demo. I live in beautiful Oz and hate having to wait so long, and then you demo done more amazing products and the cycle begins again... I do follow your advice to get as many uses from my previous purchases😁😁😁 Thank you so much, again. Ros
I’m jumping with joy with this video. I have a card-in-process for several days on my desk waiting for the right inspiration to finish it. It has a flower vase and some leaves …. Now I have lots of ideas to finish it. Thanks for always sparkling our inspiration with your videos, Jennifer
Yes. I had a footstool with caneing, purchased at an art fair. Loved it so much and it looked like it, too after decades of use. Tried to find someone to repair or cane it anew and had no luck. It may be a lost art these days. Sad.
Really fantastic ideas and beautiful cards! I used to have bentwood chairs with caned seats! Very boho!!! I'm definitely going to make a point of jazzing up the insides of my cards. TFS!
For the Boho Vases set, I thought the vase designs would also make some cool hanging lantern shapes. I love seeing how you re-use and change up elements!
Also, you're going to make me shop my stash because I know I have some geometric dies from Simon from a year or so ago that I could do the same thing...although I almost bought the ones you used!😇
I have a friend who loves plants and she have a jungle room (hahaha) your video inspired me to create a card for her birthday next month. Thanks Jennifer!!
Beautiful cards! Did you cut backs for each of the vases individually? I noticed that there are no backs that come with the dies but all of yours have them. Thank you for always sharing amazing cards and awesome ideas!
Your videos are all so very helpful to me. I am very curious about something. I know that you purge an awful lot of your supplies... I'm curious to know what you keep... what stays in your stash? Thank you for all you do!
So many ideas! Am I crazy, or did you at one time make a video on how you made your templates - if you have a link, I sure would like it. That would be hard to search for. Haha
This video reminded me of an earlier comment I sent you. I’d love to see how you manage the die cutting process. Basically, you are still doing one piece at a time to make all those different cuts. Please share!
I don't do one at a time. I use the XL die cutting plates in my Empress and just a whole bunch at once, cutting the cardstock down to just big enough for the pieces I"m doing. So I can have all different colors and dies on the plate at the same time
Hey, Jennifer .... I noticed that each card you make has an envelope that matches one of the colors on the card exactly, or seems to. It's so much nicer than a plain white one, but how do you match them so nearly? I am new to card making, so I appreciate all of the work you put into these videos, because they certainly help me ... and I know I'm not the only one. Thanks!
We had those same cane back chairs, such a cool design to make. I love all the great ideas you gave for not only making the fronts of cards look wonderful but the insides as well. Some great tips and tricks and super great ideas! Thank you for sharing. By the way, what is the size of the flip up cards you make? Do you get more than one from an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock?? Or do you use 12 x 12 card stock to make your card bases?? Interested to know. I am starting to make more and more cards and would like to have card bases cut and ready to go when the inspiration hits to create. I'd like to get the most card bases from my car stock. I mainly use 8 1/2 by 11 but sometimes use 12 x 12.
Depending on how you cut the 8.5 X 11 inch paper you get a top fold or a side fold when you fold it in half. So you get two card bases from one sheet of cardstock.
I just used the versamark for a watermark background and forgot how attractive those background stamps could be, using the tone on tone look. Hmmm wonder if you can write messages over that ink (on the inside)…
i matted them. but it is easy. i put them on solid cardstock with liquid glue and while still wet and shimmy my scissors around so it isn't perfect. but it works!
How in the world were you able to get all those Altenew Rattan Stripes to cut the thin stripes? I have tried everything, even with a replacement die, and cannot get the thin stripes to cut. I have the Platinum Six and the Empress. New plates didn't help. : (.
The weight is generally at least 80 lb. Varies by company. I get it from a variety of companies: Simon Says Stamp brand, Gina K Designs, Spellbinders, Lawn Fawn, Concord and 9th, Tailored Expressions and more
Good grief!!! I have stashed away so many strips of card stock - not knowing what I would ever use them for and here you are! Brilliant!!!
Ufff, what miracles of creativity, your hands create Jennifer 👏 I just love your hands ❤️
I loved the bit where you mentioned the chairs from when you were growing up! The first thing I thought when I saw that card on the thumbnail was "that looks like caning on furniture!"
The largest leaf element would work well as kelp in an underwater scene. Thanks for the other great ideas, Jennifer!
I remember my grandfather’s cane backed chairs at his dining room table, so I understand what you’re talking about in the first part of the video!!
You & your creations are wonderful. You are helping bringing my mojo back after 2 surgeries. Hugs to u
WOW I always try to find better ways to decorate the inside of my cards. You have really helped with this video. Thank you so much Jennifer for all your tips, ideas and designs.
Your creativity is mind blowing. Thanks so much Jennifer !!
Your color combinations are wonderful. I, too, love the blues & greens.

I ALWAYS add something to the inside of my cards. Thanks for doing this and promising to do more.

And thank you, as always, for your amazing videos!!! Your cards are so gorgeous and I love die cutting and using scraps, so this video was extra perfect for me! 💖
Wonderful ideas. Thank you for sharing your creativity with the crafting community. So many fun ideas to try!
The cane backed chair. Yes, we had those too. Thank you for share. Your work is gorgeous
I really like that linear spiral stamp, that’s my favorite card.
My husband does chair caning so I HAVE to get the Rattan Stripes and Garden Trellis Die Bundle! He's caned thousands of chairs that have that pattern. I'm not exaggerating. I hope I can make pretty cards with them. Thanks Jennifer for all your ideas!

Love this 2 part series. The opening is great~ I feel you...total 70's kitchen chair vibes! Lol. TY, Jennifer.
Jennifer! Thank you very much. These cards are lovely and the ideas for inside are great.
Your cards are always so beautiful! I always learn so much from you. Thanks for sharing

I couldn't agree more. Jennifer is my hero
Those leaves would work wonderfully for an underwater scene .🐙🐠🐡

I would love to see a video showing how you store all your scraps and pre-cuts. And sentiments!

Thanks for sharing a wonderful resource for colored envelopes! I’ve spent hours online looking for one.
I believe the chairs are called "cane back chairs". I love them, and love that the design can be made with cardstock.
My husband recaned his Grandfather’s rocking chair!
Still in my mama’s kitchen as I write this!

These were awesome! I love that vase!!!❤❤❤
You are amazing, Jennifer. You always inspire us to create.
Love the planters cards!!
We had the cane back chairs as well. Love your cards
Really fantastic ideas and beautiful cards! I used to have bentwood chairs with caned seats! Very boho!!! I'm definitely going to make a point of jazzing up the insides of my cards. TFS!
So many great tips packed into these two videos. Planning to keep these handy and refer to them often. Thank you.
Each one of these cards is gorgeous!! I’m really appreciative of your videos and I’m learning so much! Thank you!

Love all your great ideas. Usually the inside of the cards are neglected because I haven’t an idea how to complete the look!
My mother had an antique rocking chair, a family heirloom with that first pattern you showed
Love your creativity.
These are gorgeous!

You are so amazing! Wonderful use of scraps!
So much great info. Can’t wait to try these ideas …so thank you!
GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS
Totally had the same chairs in the kitchen in the late 70's early 80's.
Wonderful designs thanks for sharing ❤
I love these cards! Especially the first ones that look like caning - it was just like my grandmother’s chairs! So cool.
I am a home health care giver tonight I noticed their kitchen chairs has that pattern too also in a tan/ lt brown color
The wow factor is evident in this video... luv your work, Jennifer! ❤️

Love this video! Thanks! 🙂
That’s the same look on our kitchen chairs:) so many great ideas and I’m definitely going to be trying some of these:) tfs and God Bless:)
The Boho vases are so fun. Is there a separate backing die or did you just hand cut another piece in similar shape 👍🏻?
Thanks for all the great ideas

How does Jennifer cut just the solid die for vase?
Looks like cane used in chairs.
Did you actually mat all those gorgeous little vases by hand and fussy cut around them or is there a die that'll do that that i can't find?
i matted them. but it is easy. i put them on solid cardstock with liquid glue and while still wet and shimmy my scissors around so it isn't perfect. but it works!

No, it doesn't
What craft card stock do you use?
in card making, what's the difference between embossing and debossing? Not clear about what debossing is. Thanks in advance!
Embossing is when the image is raise on the paper. Debossing is when the image is sunken in .. the opposite
❤
That one die can be an owl.
Canned chairs.
