Dee is really mixing and matching outfits. Great job, smart way to travel. Vlog was informative and uniquely Parodeejay style. You two are the best. Thank you.
Loving this series. We had one very similar (14 nights) on the Grandeur OTS a year ago February from Barbados. We, and the clients we brought with us all loved it! Dee...I LOVE your hat. I've been looking everywhere for one like it!
THANK you so much for your video!! We’ll be in Cartagena next month on our Carnival Spirit Panama cruise!! Thanks for the tips of what to see and do. :-) Love your videos!!! 🛳 🏝 🌴 😎
LOVE Cartagena. If you go back the night tours of the "bay" area are fantastic. We did the Sea Rumba tour it was fantastic. Yes the aviary is free. They have ALL the birds. The Macaws will talk to you if you speak in Spanish. The Old city is really interesting, the coffee is great.
We concur on taking a ship's excursion here. We were in Cartagena only a week ago and our city tour got back to the ship a half hour after the scheduled sail away due to the heavy rush hour weekday traffic, but the ship will always wait for their own tours.
Oh my gosh, that's funny! I was aware of the difference and had it spelled correctly in the video description, but not in the title. Dang! Fixed it now, ha ha... oops!! :P
Cartagena in 2019 on Carib Princess. Only 4 hours in port but saw fort, dancing at presidents house, church, maritime history museum and walking old city. Tour of downtown. Yes, Dee. Traffic is crazy. Only do ship tours. Remembered vendor with donkey. Our guide also left some people. Like Jay, I am 6'5 and easy to remember so if you stayed with me she would not leave😁 Missed the botanical animal park. Hope to return some day. A great port.
Our ship tour left an older gentleman behind in Cartagena. He managed to find another ship group. Definitely recommend sticking with ship excursions there.
I think my favorite part of your whole tour was it the end with all the birds and monkeys! So nice to be able to just walk around and see them right next to you! Really beautiful pictures de enjoyed them very much! Jay sounds like you’ve got a bit of a stuffy nose. Do you have a cold coming on? I sure hope not. ❤
Really enjoying this series of ports! Fascinating! You guys do this well. The cats in San Juan are on our list. May need to rewatch that video to figure it out. 😊
This was a good one. Cartagena is amazing! We heard so much bad stuff about Colombia and then we see this beautiful and modern city. Surprised that the luxury tour didn't at least drive you through the hotel zone. Agree with the driving situation 😳 That place at the port was amazing too. Sometimes RC surprised us with such ridiculous itineraries. I did a partial Panama canal, visiting the same ports plus HMC with Holland and it was so much better! It could have been perfect for you to finally try HAL!
We had the same itinerary as this one on Celebrity, got cancelled because of COVID, in Cartagena we had picked a tour of a horse carriage through the line. We were so sorry that we didn’t go. We are finally doing Cartagena in the canal transit going to LA from Ft Lauderdale. Can’t wait!
Ok tunnels are not good for ParoDeeJay. Thank you for trying the Bao. Now I don't have to. Jay you got me today. Coffee through the nose etc. Blow out joke. Perfect music for this episode.
This was my favorite port. It's so nice to come back to an aviary instead of immediately being tossed into a shopping mall. We spent a lot of time wandering before going back to the ship. I would love to go back there some day.
Hi Jay..will be in Colombia next month on a Panama Canal cruise. Can you tell me are there different piers for the different lines. I am on the ncl Encore. I hope i am docked where you were, thanks for the review🚢😊
The scene at 1:40min where you have those 300? tall white buildings,... well, 7 yrs ago, there were only about 7 buildings, I've been told it may be "drug money"
Awesome. I would only do a cruise tour in Cartagena, but it is frustrating that you are rushed along so much. Scary that the guide would leave two people behind especially with such a small group. That was funny hearing the Canadian national anthem. So random. 👋🇨🇦
I’m so sad that you guys didn’t get to experience the DELICIOUS food Cartagena/Colombia has to offer. That tour seems a little rush in my opinion 😢…our beautiful Colombia has so much to offer!! So disappointing(not on you or your great videos) a little disappointing on the tour companies😣.. I hope you guys visit Colombia someday and enjoy a little bit more of our ‘encanto’😊
Hey Dee & Jay I'm curious, I've noticed that u rarely buy from the vendors on the excursions nor from the ships stores. Is that a personal preference or that you've already have so many trinkets? I find it hard to resist to buy everything....smh
With us, we have SO many souvenirs from places, and with us packing carry-on only these days, we really have to limit our purchases regardless of the temptation, ha ha... it's mostly food and drink items these days for sampling!! :P
If you ever find yourself in Egypt on a Nile cruise, the vendors are everywhere, unavoidable and aggressive. If you are nice to them at all, including making eye contact, they assume a “contract” between you. Therefore, if you don’t buy from them, they can be loudly displeased. Loved Egypt but absolutely HATED that aspect of it.
Oh wow, those animals at the port area were SO cool!! The parrots cracked me up! Cartagena looked like an awesome place.
Your bird and monkey portion was fantastic!
Your photos are beautiful, Dee! Thank you for sharing your tour with us!
Some of your best photos ever Dee.
The photos are magnificent !!!!!!
Dee is really mixing and matching outfits. Great job, smart way to travel. Vlog was informative and uniquely Parodeejay style. You two are the best. Thank you.
I’m dying that you didn’t miss a beat with your bathroom “blowout” comment!!😂😂
Liked the amount you showed of the fortress. Getting many ideas of places to go watching your trips.
The videos for this trip are fabulous as usual. Love your pictures Dee! Jay, commentary is great!
? I. Watching your video now. Saw you got ice coffee while among the animals. Did you pay US dollars or Pesos? Thank you.
Great tour, loved the views of the city and Dee's photos were stunning. Good job!
Loving this series. We had one very similar (14 nights) on the Grandeur OTS a year ago February from Barbados. We, and the clients we brought with us all loved it! Dee...I LOVE your hat. I've been looking everywhere for one like it!
Did a Panama Canal cruise thru the old locks in December 2018 on The Carnival Miracle. Loved Cartagena and that animal sanctuary at the Port
That comment about still having a blast in the restroom conversion had me cracking up Jay.
Columbia IS truly the best port EVER with all those free range animals! I wish Costa Maya was like that! 🤣

Goodness thats alot of Blue and Gold Macaws
This was the best video ever!
The photos were amazing. Sort of reminded me of San Juan also.
That coffee ☕️ looks good Jay
You guys are great! Just a heads up Colombia is the country, Columbia is something else!
Oh my gosh, that's funny! I was aware of the difference and had it spelled correctly in the video description, but not in the title. Dang! Fixed it now, ha ha... oops!! :P
Goodmorning guys.. i see u are still crusing, great job..
One of my all time favorite ports of call!! I went in 2020 right before the shutdown, and loved exploring the old city.
All those beautiful birds.
Thanks for another great video!
Been looking forward to this port! One of my best friends grew up in Colombia. Time to watch. Have a great day!

When I think of Cartagena, I think of Romancing the Stone!
Our ship tour left an older gentleman behind in Cartagena. He managed to find another ship group. Definitely recommend sticking with ship excursions there.
Wow night time in Aruba take many pictures show a lot of video I would love to see that thanks for the video guys
Dee! That pink looks beautiful on you!!!
I’m waiting for y’all to sing “Colombia Mi ENCANTO” so I can dance laugh and cry all at the same time. Ay, mariposas…
The struggle was real! Actually, I'm pretty sure Dee kept humming tunes from Encanto as we walked around, but I didn't capture those, ha ha... :P ~Jay
Very nice! Looks a lot like Old San Juan!
Interesting to see because I'd probably never visit. The crowds and vendors would be too overwhelming!
Good morning Dee and Jay ❤️
Now, I really want to go to Cartagena. The free-roaming animals were the best. No, wait. The massive fortress was the best. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
What a great port, last time I was there, they had sloths that you could hold...
Really enjoying this series of ports! Fascinating! You guys do this well. The cats in San Juan are on our list. May need to rewatch that video to figure it out. 😊
Thanks for another great video!

When you said Park Cafe was making noises behind you, I was determined it was you making your elephant noises😂

The adventure movie “Romancing the Stone” took place in Cartagena…starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
Good morning!
Love how well Jay pronounces his Spanish, but one thing to remember is that, H is totally silent in Spanish.
Hi Jay..will be in Colombia next month on a Panama Canal cruise. Can you tell me are there different piers for the different lines. I am on the ncl Encore. I hope i am docked where you were, thanks for the review🚢😊
We were on the Jewel last month and went to the same pier/port. The aviary is AMAZING. What a surprise that was!
@@julietaylor2497 oh good thx for the update
Where do you get your beautiful background music from. I love it 😍
Epidemic Sound!! :D
I know this sounds silly but I didn't know ow peacocks could fly. Never saw one anywhere other than the groj d
I arranged the Canadian Anthem while you were there. It was either that or Justin Bieber.
Great vlog! Did you feel safe in Cartagena? It does look a lot like Old San Juan.
I have been to Cartagena i was scared as when you got off the ship there were guards with high powered rifle
For all the walking you folks do....any advice on preferred walking shoes?
What type of camera does Dee have? The quality of her pictures is really good!
The scene at 1:40min where you have those 300? tall white buildings,... well, 7 yrs ago, there were only about 7 buildings, I've been told it may be "drug money"

Do you and Dee have any children? I love your videos. We are cruising to Hawaii in February 2024 on the Crown Princess we are so excited
Sweet Thai Chili sauce with the prawns??

***QUESTION *** What is the height of the corridors in the Fortress 🤔
Probably about six feet, which was about half a foot too short for me!! :P ~Jay

Dishing with Dee and Jay….
Ph my God we were particularly attached by them and i couldn't handle it.
Hello ya'll
Dee, where did you get your pink jacket?
It is from Old Navy. But I've seen similar ones at Target also.
Did you need to take any innoculations for Columbia, Costa Rica ?
Do street vendors take US dollars ?
They do indeed!! :D
Blowouts…lol
