Not a slight to anyone, but I rarely play games ON RELEASE anymore. I've still working through my extensive backlog of Switch titles, so I'm not as hard stuck as many have been saying on the Internet
The PS5 dev kit is cool because it’s a “V” shape and V means 5. It’s just a shame that wasn’t the final design, because it would make so much sense for the 5th PlayStation.
It's a shame you guys aren't enjoying Brothership as much as you'd like to. I personally didn't feel that the game was too handholdy or easy (especially since Mario RPG and TTYD were similarly easy, if not easier imo), but I do agree that it takes too long to learn your major abilities. In my view, Brothership is a good, enjoyable game that lasts longer than it needs to, given the content that it has (similar to Dream Team, a game I have a lot of fondness for).
Totally agree, and I really think the difficulty toward the latter half of the game is actually really engaging, I was honestly taking a lot of damage LOL. A hard mode wouldve been greatly appreciated though.
Sorry, love you guys and the videos, but I have to clarify one of your points that so many seem to misremember and it really annoys me. Transferring Wii download games to Wii U did not have a cost per game. All those Wii games could be played in the system's Wii mode as on the original console, with supported Wii controllers. The only charge came from individual game updates to play said games in Wii U mode, with the Wii U supported controllers and features. And personally, I think that if developers have to work new features into older games like WiiU gamepad support, they're well within their rights to charge for it if they want. It's up to us to determine value and whether we want to pay or not. In Europe those games were an even bigger upgrade since we finally left the days of rubbish 50hz games behind us. Apologies for the ramble, so many people I've seen either don't know, don't remember or conveniently forget about that optional upgrade fee that it really irritates me.
Also, just to add, I'm pretty sure transferring DsiWare to 3DS had no charge at any point. I know you didn't mention it so not a correction or anything, but it's a point to consider how Switch to Switch 2 might work.
I think the thing people forget about Nintendo is that they're the only major games console company where games are their only real vertical. Sony and Microsoft are just massively bigger. Just because Nintendo makes games doesn't mean they also have bags of app and network developers. They're different skill-sets. Sony does have them, so does Microsoft... Sony has 15 times as many employees as Nintendo, Microsoft has 30 times! If either of the PS or Xbox teams need an app, they've got the team and budget on hand to get one made. The eShop is trash and Nintendo's online functionality is primitive, no doubt. But I think it's more down to the way they're set up rather than anything. It's a company of games people, they don't have the standard "chief of" level people overseeing a bunch of cross-functional subdivisions updating each other on a Zoom call every month.
Honestly for how big the staff at Sony is, the PS store is crap too. The online online game shop I've ever liked is the Wii Shop Channel, OG Ps3, and Steam lol
Thanks for answering my question gang! Funnily enough I was initially playing my switch quite a lot earlier this year, but that was only due to playing Balatro on it for over 200+ hours (even longer than my time with tears of the kingdom). Once that was done though, my time has dropped off a cliff since I've lost my patience with Nintendo's performance issues on their own first party games. I certainly hope performance upgrades to Switch games aren't tied to a NSO subscription (or worse the expansion pack tier). The Wii U asking people to pay extra to be able to play virtual console games previously purchased on the gamepad felt like such an insult and I'd be pretty upset if once again they tried to squeeze extra money out of people who purchased games that don't play that great on a switch right now.
Finally someone shares my feelings on Brothership. I simply couldn't keep going 12 hours in. The whole time i felt like the game was incredibly testing my patience.
You're free to do what you want of course but I feel like the so called leaks or rumors haven't been big enough to be considered spoilers. It'll be a more powerful Nintendo system.
@@carlodavies9227that's the most likely outcome because backwards compatibility doesn't give old games the new console's features, it's just a convenient way of playing your old games on a new console.

We know the successor is backwards-compatible (that's really the only thing about it that we do know for certain) so it would need to have those buttons. Much less, they wouldn't leave right-handed folks without buttons on the right controller, literally every Nintendo system has the buttons on the right and movement (joystick, D-pad) on the left.

I'm very excited to hear your takes on the latest Switch 2 rumor. Also I'm not sure if this is too far removed from Nintendo but I'd love it of you talked about the possibility of Sony making another portable system (one that doesn't only stream games from another source). Though to be honest I'm kind of burned out on Sony right now. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Sony said to Nintendo "You can continue to use Acquire for Mario & Luigi games... if you pay us a large cut!" (not that Nintendo would bite. They'd sooner find another studio or drop that specific RPG series altogether. Especially given the complaints about Brothership).
I was under the impression that the video was blurry to protect the person that was filming so they cannot be identified. Blurring the video reduces the ability to see reflections of the individual and their location and surrounding objects
25:04 but you've also got to realise that technology has advanced since 2017. The talk here of Brothership really just cements my belief in people discriminating 3rd Party developers working on Nintendo IP. They’re trying to say that Brothership is a disappointment because it’s “too easy” but were glazing the Paper Mario TTYD remake despite that game being a thousand times easier than Brothership. Very similar case happened earlier this with Princess Peach Showtime (not just referring to GVG in this case), but Games Media and the Internet were ragging on the game as well as even attacking Good Feel as a developer for making easy games, but then later in the year were rabidly praising Astro Bot despite being as easy if not even easier than a Good Feel game because it was a 1st party IP developed by a 1st party studio (just that it’s with Sony instead, don’t mean this in a console war aspect btw).
It's so simple, Nintendo will charge 10 dollars per game upgrade, and will leave it free for Third Parties to decide whether to charge. Same model as PS5
