Thanks for this video, I was surprised to see it wasn't really a good alternative to Litepanels Sola or other fresnel options. You've saved me a ton of researching time and money!
@@lensprotogo Awesome. I guess I didn't need to know the actual power draw, just whether it's good to go from the wall. For anyone else, the power draw is 115W...
Another option that I really like and has a similar fresnel style is the Fiilex Q8 Travel but it is only Bi Color. The Fiilex matrix dosent have the zoom aspect but is a great RGBW light option. I did a video on both of those too if you wanted to check them out.
@@lensprotogo yeah annoyingly it's one of the only rgb fresnels. But most productions I'm on are happy using skypanels. I guess if your after that for factor the new arri orbitor might be the way forward. I haven't got my hands on it so its only speculation on my part.
amazing review of this piece of gear. Can't to see more of these. I like hearing about peoples experience using it on set.
Thank you when I can I try to get all of this gear on set to really test it out in a real world environment

Glad it helped!
Love these videos. What's the power draw on these lights? I reckon they're safe to go straight from the wall, right?
I’ll have to look at specific draw but yeah right from the wall

Are there any budget alternatives? This is very cool, but certainly for a bigger budget :(
Check out the Intellytech light cannon series

This light is pretty bad. Output is rubbish. Menu is limited. The L series was a failure. I rarely see it on productions
Yeah for what other options are out now its definitely lacking in some areas.
