    can you explain the last question why we cant do it by the formula mol/L? like 1 mol is 36.5g so 36.5g devided by the 8.5 % mass of hcl per litre?so that would be 36.5/8.5% of 1050g per litre

    • @GetSumMath
      @GetSumMath  Месяц назад +1

      Hey there, that one's tricky because even thought 1 mole is 36.5 grams, 1 L is 1050 grams. Therefore, we do want to get the units of mol/L, which involves getting the grams to cancel. So that's why we do:
      1 mol / 36.5 grams • 1050 grams / 1 L
      grams in the bottom of the 1st fraction and top of the 2nd get those to cancel, leaving us with 28.76 mol/L.
      But, since only 8.5% of that is HCl, we want to multiply by 8.5% or 0.085. If we divide by 8.5%, that'll mean that we already have 8.5% and are looking for 100%.
      Not sure if that answered your exact steps, but let me know if that helps!

    • @GetSumMath
      @GetSumMath  Год назад +1

      Hey there,
      Independent variable = the thing you control
      Dependent variable = data you collect
      For example, if you record your score on a test based on how many hours you study, then:
      Independent = hours of study (you control)
      Dependent = score on a test (data collected)

    Do you have any tips for someone to study the GED with long term anxiety? Btw love ur videos

    • @GetSumMath
      @GetSumMath  Год назад +4

      Thank you! I think that rewatching can help reduce some of the anxiety of trying to get it all at once. I have to rewatch and relisten to things multiple times before I feel comfortable with what they're saying.
      After you watch, I have practice for almost all of my videos to help solidify concepts (and they are basically identical to what I do in my videos!)
      getsummath.com
      In terms of taking the test at the center, it's all about trying to find the questions that you feel most comfortable with and skip the others. Often, when people focus on a few they don't know in the beginning, they totally lose confidence for the rest of the test.
      I hope some of these things are helpful for you! 🙏🏻

      Why not stop at 38 or 24 percent?

    • @GetSumMath
      @GetSumMath  8 месяцев назад

      It's a good question! Since they're looking for "what percent did NOT flower?" we found that 12/50 or 24% did flower. Therefore, we have to go one more step, because all the rest of them did NOT flower. Or 100% - 24%, so 76% did not flower.
      When you're finding a percent, you have to divide the small amount (whatever you're interested in) by the total amount to get a percent. That's why we did fractions, or divided for this problem.
      Hope that helps!

      The key with those is that any animal on the diagram will have all the traits listed below it. So any question that correctly identifies the traits below an animal that it possesses is what you’re looking for there 👍🏼

      A lot of these are tricky! Here’s a more recent practice test that I hope helps more:

      @@GetSumMath Hi! I took my science ged ready test and scored a 166 cause of you :) I’d like to thank you for your videos , they’re very helpful actually. I’ve only attended primary school and have never done science . I was afraid of failing but I’m actually very happy and satisfied with my score and hoping to get an even higher score on the actual test. However there was a question about light and wavelength I got stuck on, could you make a video explaining that ? I find that the way you explain things is easier for me to understand than other channels .

      @@GetSumMath update, I passed my social studies as well. Thank you for the videos, as ur videos helped me more than anyone else’s. Didn’t over explain and got straight to the point. I’m officially graduated and they are letting me walk the stage with the local high school in June. Thank you once again

      @@GetSumMathyou personally have helped me in these short videos more than any hour+ long video and more then my 3 hour a day classes I was taking. Ur blessing a lot of people with these. I’m 20 and couldn’t graduate because I was homeless, so I thank you. I was watching these videos up to the point I took my test (literally minutes before I walked in I had the video playing)

    Why is it that science is just language arts with a science theme?? I feel cheated.
