(No hate to where's our semi-colon, it's nice to see other podcasts cropping up) :)
There is no number 1 or number 2 podcast, all game dev podcasts are welcome and just as good as each other! (Except yours, yours is massively better than ours, thanks for the mention!)
Dev dump as guests on where's our semi-colon?

"The break up episode" coming soon 😭
Who are you and what did you do with Reece geodude?!?
@@isto_inc Yeah this dude keeps messaging me pretending to be reece
@Colin Smith We definitely are going to continue, it's just a matter of when. We're all super busy at the moment. But we're all very passionate about this project so it'll be back as soon as it can be.
@@barj have any of you guys ever used mugen before (its a 2d fighting game engine)
Before watching: I hope Godot gets at least a positive rep 😔
Alright, after watching: Godot wasn't given negative rep but it was certainly not done justice imo. Godot has a mono version, and I'm kinda disappointed it wasn't talked about. Godot also has GDnative, which is what GDscript accesses, and you can program in C++, Rust, and anything else that has a binding. It feels like they focused too much on unity and game maker.
I can get that Godot is kinda limited currently but I think this would have been better with a segment per engine and then a comparison of each in another longer section.
If this comes off as me saying "Yu didtn tallk abot MY ENGINE wah wah," please don't take it that way.
I love these podcasts btw! Excited for the next one.
I 100% agree with you, but then again it's just devs talking about their personal experiences and not really a formal video with each engine being researched. That being said, I wish this won't discourage some viewers to give Godot a try.
Question: What is the best Game Jam theme you've seen? (and if you have any game jam theme ideas yourself)
Personally, I've been switching between engines and in my opinion unreal engine is a great step up from scratch. If you know scratch then the blueprint system shouldn't be too hard to learn.
Holy smokes, I've been sitting down still for over a week waiting for this podcast
Keep up the podcasts
Great episode guys! Very interesting! :D I started with Scratch in school, and then went to Gamemaker and then went to Unity (and now use Unreal as well) so it's interesting to hear different experiences. Did make me wonder, what do people like so much about Godot? :D
I love your work , I can't stop watching your podcasts
Another great chat chaps! I definitely see a lot of game devs stuck in the tutorial hell and I hate it. I'm glad you lot are no longer in it though.
For me I have a lot of nostalgia for Game Maker 7 & 8 but now I'm enjoying working on my own engine features with the monogame framework.
Also last episode you mentioned some art. Have you guys done your -homework- art?
We plan to make a dedicated video on it within the next few weeks :)
@@TheDevDump That will be great!
i love this podcast, don't stop, please! :D
Question: what are your tips to learn the concepts in a tutorial after watching it? it is advised to make a game that is a copy of the tutorial by yourselves you should you watch other tutorials as well and make a more complete game with the things that you learned in the tutorials?
and btw great podcast! i am having a great time hearing them!
Turbowarp is my favorite engine 💪🏿💪🏿
i agree completely 10:21
Next ep: best programming language
really entertaining conversation, keep it up!
Another great episode!
Great pod cast !
What is barji logo
Where is art??
We're gonna make a dedicated video showing off what we made so stay tuned! We mentioned it towards the end :)
Thanks for your sharing 🥰
My only two problems with unity are that it has too many stuff sometimes and it isn't really good in linux
Godot an Unity
You guys should all try making a game in godot
Question: What were your first ever experiences with game jams?
