Wouldn't matter much, it still would beat it's advertised rating at 12v, prolly 1200w@1ohm/12v. Thing is, the difference between say 1200w and 1300 is literally nothing, if u understand how loudness works in db. Just a marketing ploy. Not saying I'm calling bullshit, I really love Sundown stuff. Most amp brands do this, especially when u see an amp birth sheet that says Amp X does 1300w certified, and it's rated for 1200. That 100 watts is like getting a dollar raise on a $1000 paycheck.
Why don’t u guys do a giveaway? It’s really hard for some of us to afford great quality like sundown and would love the chance to win one. But thanks for ur time
Usually people start their vehicles before cranking their systems up giving them 14 to 14.6 vlts and that's about what the voltage is showing at 1 ohm on his dyno. 12.8 is standing voltage on a battery on the shelf or unstarted vehicle.
@@SidyDidIt you’re right that cars charge higher then 12 volts but voltage drop does happen and not everyone wants to upgrade there alternators. Plus why advertise them as sundown audio low voltage technology amps (S.A.L.T amps) if they do rated power at 14.4V?
You should explain to everyone that that is not subwoofers you testing that amplifier on ?doesn't have a impedance rise like subwoofers in a enclosure? And certified is the correct number you are looking for? Uncertified means your subwoofers are clipping and your coils are heating up? I give this amplifier a solid 1000 watts after impedance rise at 1ohm
@Jeezy52 Don't have anything in my garage that amplifier will push it might push my 3515 dd s and after that my next ones would be xv3 12s not going to happen they will laugh at the amplifier
@@christiandshatto7765 Thanks for replying Christian. That's exactly where I purchased mine from and I did that months ago already. There's still in the box. Have a great day!
So you know of many other amps that are daily under .5 ohms? That are real rms power and reliable like these? You can get the SALT 1.5 that does almost 4k for only $50 more
I've ran all kinds of amps. The Salts are worth the price. Very efficient, easier on the electrical and they barley get warm. You wanna fry some eggs, get a JP.
@@DarrinLintz710 exactly. The efficiency of the salt amps are incredible. I have a salt 3,4 and working on getting a salt 6. I also have salt 200.2 and 200.4 for full range. Incredible amps
That's mine,ive ran at 2&1ohm- I KNEW it was 8-900@2, vs. the 500 rating😊thanks for the dyno!!!(& Don't let the size fool you, it's a HEAVY amp!)
Aren't they rated at 12 volts not 14.4? SALT stands for sundown low voltage technology. Supposed to do rated at 12v not 14.4
100% Agreed.
12.6 but yeah it does. They have a 14v system tho. Not a 12v system yet.

That would be perfect for the small stereo I have planned for my Tahoe.
I definitely like the 24db x-over slope
15+ volts is crazy good. Wish my vehicle got that high.
Diodes. Helped my voltage stay in the high 15s,dropped down to 13.8 running 2 jp33s

1200 to 1500 ain't bad for 1 ohm.
I have two sun down E12 v4 witch salt amp would you recommend?
Same here I’m debating between the salt 1 or the 1.5
Hey Derek love your videos. I have 2 sun down sa v2 10 "classic what amp wood you recommend .
Salt 3 or 4.
Where did you get the amp inputs
8 gauge rated power inputs?
Show rated power at normal 12.8 volts. Nobody buys this small of an amp if there running over 15 volts 😂

Well said bro I wanna see the power output at 12v please since salt is sundown low voltage technology
Y'all kill me saying this foolishness what running vehicle charges at 12.8v ?

@@rubee5.043 they do rated+ at 12 volts and typically do 15-20% over rated at 15+volts. And dropping below 12v is how you fuck shit up
Are those a Brazilian board like Taramps? Asking hecause youre testing at a high voltage.
Korean

I got mine from eBay( new) I think the authorized online store is woofers etc

Is that an amp or an ant?

Honestly this amplifier should not be over $150 this is just pure greed of what you're selling it for!!!!!
Could stick to your pyramid set up if you want.
I agree with you on the price
