Thanks so much for watching!
This was humbling to watch. I am currently ignoring a worn upper ball joint. Will order a replacement today I think
I ignored my passenger side tie rod. Well I got off the expressway, and on the ramp it broke. Thank God I had 33x12.50’s on it. That helped to keep it straight. Never again will I roll the dice on steering/suspension.
Thank you for your help I really appreciate it
No problem. Sorry I couldn't be of more help at the time. Hope you get everything rectified with it smoothly. Good luck
Looks like she's almost ready to go back to the future.
Lmao
Marty: 🤔🧐🤔 You built a time machine?? Out of a Grand CHEROKEE??!! 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️
that's a LOAD BEARING brake hose
Brake hose is hanging on like a champ!
Unfortunately it was prob making tons of noise ages ago but she just turned up her radio and kept driving.
It broke good reason to have grease fittings 😂
For the want of a grease fitting, car company's should be ashamed !!
You always have to low ball this lots Chris. Find a few things that will cover you. You never know what is going to be good and what will be trouble. That lathe looks nice probably worth a grand or two. There were several welding machines. I’d offer 3500 if I were you.
так если дороги ровные как ты тот стук услышишь
she didn't hear anything, but the radio lol. well no one got hurt. good thing to do periodically, turn the tunes down and off and listen. just make it a habit once a week to drive with out the radio. to the store where ever and listen to your car. ha ha i do it when i can remember. but being a mechanic i know what i got so. i do do it though
Are you supposed to lubricate upper ball joint?
Some have a fitting where you put grease in. Should do every once in while, some ball joints are sealed like hers...
Thanks Chris
I used to be a state inspection mechanic for Pennsylvania and I'll tell you what that's a major point of interest stopping and steering
well done Chris.
I'm actually postponing the change of my CV axles, ths is different, I know, but makes me really think...
Thx for showing and to the Lady that doesn't mind to be filmed, quite rare these times...
👍👍👍
Being a mechanic to, typical Jeep upper balljoint, well Chrysler mostly, total crap, they are aware of the issue for over 25 years, they do nothing about it...Simple fix, change your design Chrysler!
jeez louis
State inspections are not necessary. mostly a money grab.
I don't mean big trucks.
I lived in Saskatchewan for a few years no inspections.
Surprisingly, there were very few if any accidents involving unsafe vehicles.
I hear lots saying the inspections save lives and prevent accidents, but can't show anything to back it up.
Lots of data on impaired driving, speeding, falling asleep, being stupid, etc
How many accidents because of unsafe vehicles in your area?
This one looks more like she hit the curb, instead of falling apart while driving.
If she hit the curb it would have come apart anyway.
Nah that's just a problem with Jeeps.
Seeing stuff like this makes me appreciate living in a country where inspections are mandatory every year for cars older than 5 years.
Wonder how many that gets injured or killed due to poor vehicle maintenance like this.
I had to tell my stepson to turn down his stereo in his car after he dynomited his brake rotor . Metal to metal. Brakes failed because he couldn't hear the lining squeeler warning him. Long story short. Learn to feel what your car is telling you.
Thank God, that could of been really bad.
Thank God it's not your Tundra. I have one too.
Dang Jeeps!
But it just started making that noise 😂
I hear that daily
Once a year get your car up in the air and check everything out, sooner if you hear noises
Nice work. I hope this young lady keeps up with the maintenance on this beautiful looking truck! Its a social distancing rig, it looks great from 6 feet!
If that had broken while crossing at a busy road junction , it could have a real collision.
No annual inspection, that must leave a lot of people at the side of the road.
Forced Annual inspections by the state are not the answer. Chris addressed what the answer is and it’s simple common sense and responsibility on the part of the owner…
@@1972bcainagreed… watch some the “inspected” vehicles that pull into SMA in upstate/rustbelt NY. Pay attention to your vehicle and do the maintenance (or pay a trusted mechanic to do it). And fwiw… NJ does have an annual inspection requirement on vehicles between 5 and 25 years old, but only for emissions.
Not doing car maintenance is a false economy.
This is just what happened to a car when a women drives it.
Ah typical low maintenance and JEEp issues haha
👍
