So close. Very impressive for a miler/5K guy. I guess you’re the alternate. Stay ready just in case you’re needed or get that call last minute or if one of the top 3 decides not to double. If you hop in a fast Diamond League event there’s little doubt you can grab the standard. Small suggestion to USATF: Hold the 10000 either in the a.m. or later in the evening. Water table was a partial consolation.

Nothing made me more emotional than seeing him up there fighting. He overcame his demons. He did it!

Nice race. Sucks we have to wait until he’s 30 to see if he’ll qualify for LA Olympics.

"I PR'ed in everything" brings back memories of the 1980's. Way to go Drew, great job fighting through the issues, never giving up. Great race.

Some much respect to Drew. Big time rooting for him to get a USA kit one of these years. Same age, so awesome that he was able to get a 4th and legit compete for a medal after all the ups and downs through his career so far. Dude deserves the world.

The team was selected long before this final. Only 3 men in the field have the Olympic Standard and no one else is even close to the standard this season. The top 3 just had to finish the race to make the team.

It’s amazing that he can run as fast as he does, his form is the worst I’ve ever seen for a national class runner.

he ran 1252 post championships, but other than that, only his doctor and coach knows what they're cooking up. Birds of a feather flock together
