If u know 7π is the circumference then basically it is πxd=7π therefore diameter=7π/π which is of course 7. So 7 is the diameter. An irrational constant which is the ratio between the circumference and the diameter. It has no end, and no repeats. It begins something like 3.1415... etc, it has an infinite amount of decimal places. We can only approximate pi to a certain number of decimals places, but a handy approximation of pi is 22/7. But another interesting fact about the number pi is that it can never be expressed perfectly as the ratio of two integers. We are able to make approximations like 22/7 but we can't be exact.

thats not how pi was calculated. it was by expanding what we know about regular polygons to a figure with the number of sides approaching infinity, which is, for all intents and purposes, a circle

There is a coastline near (lets say near L.A.) that is measured and someone says "this piece of coastline is 16 miles long." then another guy goes out and measures with a finer ruler, he says "no!, the coastline is 16.13 miles long!" and so on forever. The real answer is that the coastline becomes infinitely curved and twisted as you shrink the ruler smaller, just like a fractal. A circle is like the coastline, you can not find a smallest angle to measure a final number in the ratio!
The funny thing for me is that literally every math test I passed was because of Khan academy and all the tests i have failed was taught by my math teacher. THANK YOU.
Please sir, I have been struggling to determine the answer to the following question for months. I know that if an object travels along 25% of a circle's circumference that it will traverse 50% of the length of the diameter in terms of three dimensional space and I also know that if an object travels 50% of a circle's circumference that it will traverse 100% of the diameter. This would make it seem as if there is a linear relationship between the two but is this true? If an object travels along 10% of a circle's circumference will it traverse 20% of the diameter?
pi r squared = area of the circle so lets say that a circle has a radius of 5cm, then we do: 3.14 * 5 squared. keep in mind, do Radius Squared before. It's the order of operations.

An irrational constant which is the ratio between the circumference and the diameter. It has no end, and no repeats. It begins something like 3.1415... etc, it has an infinite amount of decimal places. We can only approximate pi to a certain number of decimals places, but a handy approximation of pi is 22/7. But another interesting fact about the number pi is that it can never be expressed perfectly as the ratio of two integers. We are able to make approximations like 22/7 but we can't be exact.

What curriculum is this?
There is a coastline near (lets say near L.A.) that is measured and someone says "this piece of coastline is 16 miles long." then another guy goes out and measures with a finer ruler, he says "no!, the coastline is 16.13 miles long!" and so on forever. The real answer is that the coastline becomes infinitely curved and twisted as you shrink the ruler smaller, just like a fractal. A circle is like the coastline, you can not find a smallest angle to measure a final number in the ratio!
The funny thing for me is that literally every math test I passed was because of Khan academy and all the tests i have failed was taught by my math teacher. THANK YOU.

Please sir, I have been struggling to determine the answer to the following question for months. I know that if an object travels along 25% of a circle's circumference that it will traverse 50% of the length of the diameter in terms of three dimensional space and I also know that if an object travels 50% of a circle's circumference that it will traverse 100% of the diameter. This would make it seem as if there is a linear relationship between the two but is this true? If an object travels along 10% of a circle's circumference will it traverse 20% of the diameter?

so lets say that a circle has a radius of 5cm,
then we do:
3.14 * 5 squared.
keep in mind, do Radius Squared before. It's the order of operations.
it is related cuz u have to multiply the diameter by 3.14 (which is PI) to get the circumference
