Nah carbon, prostreet, hot pursuit 2010, the run, rivals are all games that imo are great and fun, again in my opinion. I personally think the games started getting pretty damn bad or mediocre with 2015
and what happened to starting off with the slower cars then working harder to get the faster, more flashier supercars nowadays you just start the game off with a Porsche 911 whilst back in NFS MW ii had to beat Baron with my Lexus (which ii had in the start of the game) in order to get that Porsche 911. nowadays there's no true progression it's just drive fast & win. no passion or emotional attachment
Have you seen what they did with NFS unbound? you can literally hire/rent a Lamborghini Huracan and other high performance cars on the online mode 😂, it's crazy man but thanks for watching 😁
I think we should have more supercars because there's not enough compared to all the other irrelevant cars in the game (Volvo Amazon) and all the "good NFS" already had the entire game based off "real underground street racing" but people nowadays are looking for a way to virtually drive nearly all genres of cars and since Forza has that, it's selling more than NFS
Couldn't agree more, bro. I am so sad for the direction the NFS games have taken lately. However, 2015 has become my fav NFS game of all time, I absolutely love the map and also because of a more personal reason; my late grandfather used to hate gaming, but this was the one game that he actually played with me ONCE and said it was amazing. I made him listen with my headset while revving up that amazing V10 in the Huracan lol. Made my heart melt. And then he passed away of cancer 5 months later on the last day of Feb this year. I am actually breaking down while typing this comment. Ima leave for a bit bro.
Sorry about Grandfather man RIP my parents never took any interesting in any of the games I ever played, NFS 2015 has a huge fanbase and a lot of cool mods that can be added to the game on pc but thanks for watching man I appreciate it the, take care cheers.
@@chillyman7340 Thank you, bro. Yeah, I know exactly what that feels like, not a great feeling being the only one who cares about something. But it helped that I had an uncle who played with me when he visited, always nice. I didn't even know about mods, bro. I'm going to look into that for sure before it gets shut down permanantly, I just enjoyed the game in it's original state. But thank you for your reply, bro. We'll speak again soon for sure.
I love that your grandfather played it with you and you showed him the v10 on the lambo, what a legendary moment, that warmed my hear. I'm so sorry for your loss my friend, hang in there and cherish the memories. Loss is never easy. Sending good vibes. 💚💚💚
Cancer is Freaking Terrible, Man. I feel so Hardly Bad About that Guy's Grandfather, Man. I bet he loves the Driving Techniques of the NFS 2015. Also, Need for Speed Underground is my Childhood Game. So, I couldn't agree more, Neither.
@@JoshuaJayMyers Yeah, man that was like the best moment I had last year. Considering how bad the year was for everyone, at least I had that, you know? Thank you for your kind message, I really appreciate that very much. The fact that people like you are still around to share kindness is amazing. You don't find that often especially on these types of platforms. Made my day, thanks so much and wish you all the best!
Underground 2 was so futuristic and cool, Most Wanted 05 was the most perfect NFS ever and Carbon was just good. Everything else just sucked ass and had no soul, except for 2010 Hot Pursuit.
absolutely agree with ALL you said, even the supercars, its true man, urban races and tunning made NFS underground triumph, and nowadays they just pull games where supercars are in the main boxart like in Heat and not a BMW customized from MW
The Death of street racing and Urban culture has really had a bad impact on street racing games, They don't have a good formula like they used to, as you said this is why Super cars are on the boxart to mainly attract kids. Mobile gaming has also effected the street racing genre with more triple A racing games playing more like mobile games, just look at NFS heat and unbound, thank you so much for watching and commenting 😁👍
To call Need for Speed fans "delusional" after watching this video from beginning to end is ironic. The only argument worth agreeing to here is the lack of competition in this sub-genre of arcade street racing games, which resulted in this complacency. Outside of that its all disingenuous overreaction and projection. For example, the last NFS title to incorporate aspects of a social media platform was the reboot back in 2015, the car list as of the recent title (Unbound) provides a good balance between various vehicle types, (including a respectable list of Japanese cars), to have the gall to claim that the franchise should go back to its roots only to ignore the EA Canada era (before Underground 1) is hilarious, to being downright dismissive of the physics. There is no structure and cohesion to this rant, you add nothing outside of affirming the beliefs of closed-off likeminded individuals.
As a normal fan who played the game casually, I wouldn't mind if EA actually recruited a better studio and then suddenly announced a similar Black Box era NFS games but with a new twist in the game. I know that every NFS fans always begs for a remastered of UG2 and MW but that won't gonna happened because EA will and never gonna listen to their fanbase if I'm not mistaken, and which is why I'm not even hyped for a new games these days. I also kind of dislike MW because of its fanbase especially saying it's a better NFS game compared to the other NFS games, which sums up why I somewhat hate the game (sometimes). Heck even Carbon and ProStreet is way much better than MW because of the different gameplay elements.
Facts!, the time when EA was on a hot streak with NFS games is over. I like MW too but back then they were even doing well, even when they were experimenting with new games, now we are just getting the same thing over and over again and I don't even want to know what they have planned next for NFS lol, thanks for watching and commenting😬😂👍
Pretty much agree with everything you said. UG1 and UG2 were golden age NFS games. MW05 was an amazing transition into more end game supercar stuff without overdoing it. Now all the physics are shit, feels like you're on steel marbles for wheels, and the camera falls 50 feet behind the car like your wake boarding behind it.
NFS in it's heyday was a really good time to be a gamer lol In my next video I will be detailing some very important information that gives a lot of context to why NFS is dead now and what EA really did to NFS and essentially themselves, I thank you so much for watching 😄👍
Good points, although Need for Speed got its start with supercars. III Hot Pursuit and High Stakes are perfect examples of this. However, the new supercar culture is completely different than the 90's Supercar culture. Car culture in general isn't as good as it used to be and is only getting worse. Just like Need for Speed games.
At this point we can all say that the current state of car culture is really to blame for the downfall of NFS, car culture and trends , really are getting out of control, this is why NFS games have such nice graphics but the gameplay and storylines are horrible, car culture now is more about social media and showroom cars than actual street racing and touge drifting/racing, the culture is what needs to change, maybe then the NFS games will be better, thank you for watching and commenting 😁👍
Yeah I heard about that, I think I need to make a video about that as well. People keep saying the game was supposed to have a lot more but was cut short due to time constraints, thank you so much for watching and commenting 😄 👍
vidio has some nice points, but i can clarify about 2012 mw: there was supposed to be a actual story continuing from 2005, but EA cut up development time, so they werent comming out of ideas, but out of time.
Yeah I understand that now I saw like a beta type version of nfsmw2021 and it looked completely different to what the final game looked like I just wonder what the finished product would have looked like if they had time to finish it, thank you so much for watching and commenting 😁👍
I feel the same man,the problem with new need for speed is thare is not much customization ,the roads are kind of straight flat and wide most of the time
You are right, what happened to the mountain Touge roads in NFS Carbon and the tight turns and corners of NFSU1-2, NFS at this point is struggling and I have no idea what they are going to do next because they have not made a good game in years, thank you for watching and commenting 😁✌
Ure right. The circuits and traffic are very light. Do you remember Burnout 3? That game had a good amount of traffic variation and quantity making the whole race harder
I made a follow up video to this one called the NFS community doesn't know what it wants, and it's not really a part 2 but I am going to make another important video about NFS and why it's not doing well, thank you so much for watching and commenting I appreciate it 😁
Agreed. Imo the last great NFS game was Most Wanted 2005 excluding Hot Pursuit 2010. I wish Midnight Club would return the last one was 14 years ago. I also agree that super cars have ruined the car culture. I miss the muscle vs import days. It really is sad what NFS has become. Not just NFS it's other racing franchises as well they're just not like what they used to be. Mid to late 2000s had the best racing games after that it was down hill.
Agreed the muscle VS import was a huge culture shock in the car community and it WORKED! The early 2000's care scene was like no other. I hear what you saying about midnight club and I will make a video about it soon your not the first and probably wont be the last person to mention it in the comments of this video. I miss it too but I thank you for your comment 😄👍🥇
3:30 you couldn't be more right man! The physics is literally the reason I don't play the games. I simply do not enjoy the way the cars drive since literally like Most Wanted era. 6:13 ABSOLUTELY. Take it back to the drawing bored and make a game that this franchise and its fans deserve! I like listening to you talk about this stuff man! Now invest in a mic so we can hear that magical voice better! Killed it with this one bro!
Thank you so much Sticky, I really am thankful for the constructive criticism man, I really put in a lot of work for this video and research. I thank you for your honesty and support Friend 😄✌
I'm supporting you, agreed so much with all, i even wrote on a official NFS reddit and make a long post and i was trashed away because of the facts and truths.
Thank you so much for the support, the NFS community is divided and I made a follow up video to this one called "the nfs community doesn't know what they want" and they really don't because the current state of NFS games is a mess lol, thank you so much for watching 😄👍
@@joshlee1895 Agreed, didn't say all new games suck, I made a video about which new games I am hyped for, your opinion is duly noted and valued thank you so much for watching.
So many people have been speaking about Carbon, it's time that I need to make a video about lol, so yeah I need to plan that, but thanks for watching and commenting 😁✌
Why almost no body talked about Need for Speed Carbon ? I really don't know why this game is so underrated, it was a really nice game as well as Most Wanted and Underground 2.
NFS Carbon was a good game but I did fly under the radar but I never really got to play it but a lot people that I knew played it. the game has it's fanbase for sure, thanks for watching 😄👍
Good video bro, this deserves a LOT more exposure. Was disappointed yet again with the announcement of Unbound. I loved NFS upto Undercover. Then there was a series of shit. Payback was back on track and was a game I liked a lot, best one out of the modern NFS games. Heat sucked and now Unbound seems like it's gonna suck aswell
Thank you for the support man, I have watched a few videos about NFS Unbound and it's far from what the car game community wants. There is a lot of fake hype around it and I will make a video about it thank you for watching 😁👍
Payback? How does heat suck? Heat is better than payback. Payback didn't have awful gameplay or anything but upgrade cards are very annoying. Heat had proper upgrades that didn't involve playing with RNG and substats. Heat also had a better progression system. It also didn't have gambler challenges that restricted the way you play depending on the challenge like in payback. The core gameplay of both are good but heat had better systems in it. Better progression, better upgrade system, etc. I'll give payback credit for its far superior soundtrack compared to heat. Most of heat's soundtrack don't even have English lyrics. I literally have to use spotify to listen to NFSMW05 music because i don't like heats soundtrack. Paybacks soundtrack is pretty good. Also kinda nostalgic because i had fun with the core gameplay when i first played it. But ik 1 thing. Nothing is worse than the soundtrack in Unbound. What the actual f(redacted)? Also payback has microtransactions while heat does not. Heat also has a better car selection imo. Also heat used cops a bit better than payback. Sadly you can't combat them in payback but its a lot better than runner missions in payback which is mindless nonsense. Imo i think mw, hot pursuit, and rivals had better usage of cops. But both heat and payback had way better handling compared to those games. Some of the smoothest handling I've experienced in a racing game. Very satisfying.
Unbound is just god awful. Garbage handling. The handling was perfect in payback and heat and they screwed it up. Drifting is awful in unbound. There's constant issues with wiping out. A lot. Wiping out is a big issue in unbound. And then there's the ear bleeding soundtrack. The story is just cringe. Not even entertaining. Just cringe. Its not like the campy cringe of heat or payback. Its just straight up cringe from trying too hard to be relatable. Basically just like the 2015 game. Yeah it's that bad. Idk about everything else though. I just know what i see. Because for whatever reason, unbound is only for next gen consoles. Ps5, xbox series x, and PC. All of which are more expensive than a house. Im not rich. So yeah, f(redacted) unbound.
NFSMW2012 is not a bad game. I really like the game, but the name should've been changed like "NFS: Fairhaven" or stuff. My Favorite NFS is Hot Pursuit 2010, Most Wanted 2012, The Run, Shift 2 and Rivals. I really want to see more "dirty-atmosphere", vehicular combat or serious track racing NFS games than mostly "ran out of ideas" games like Unbound, 2015, Heat and Payback.
I agree with you, the only sad part is that the best NFS games were made under black box which EA shut down, this is why NFS games have been so bad lately I have made a few more videos about nfs and black box, thank you for watching and commenting 😁👍
to be fair i was one of those people who hated tha Underground series when it 1st came out because i prefer tha Pre-Underground era but seein' Underground/Most Wanted 2005 fans get more mad at tha newer games after Most Wanted 2005 is almost completely laughable for me 😂 like i've been waiting on a High Stakes II for over 20 years now and i started on High Stakes as my 1st ever NFS game i beginned with
NFS just isn't hitting the same anymore, they lost the spark they once had and went instead for generic games that make money because of a fanbase that can't tell the difference between a good game and a bad one lol, thank you so much for watching and taking the time to write your comment.😁
You mean Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005. 2004 was for NFS Underground 2. Do note that NFS games didn't started with NFS Underground released in 2003. It started from 1994 to 2002 with NFS games which features concept cars, fantasy cars, hypercars, supercars and sports cars that does racing in big maps with many biome types while being chased by the cops and you can play as a cop yourself. Also, keep in mind that if NFS Hot Pursuit 2 PS2 wasn't succesful, Black Box wouldn't have made their NFS games from 2003 to 2008 which everyone likes. Black Box were goated, passionate and also car guys + they even recorded real engine sounds for their own NFS games. In fact, the BMW M3 E46 GTR sound is actually from a TVR Cerbera and straight cut gears. And these idiots from EA got rid of them in April 2013. It's all EA's fault if NFS games had became soulless cashgrabs and a shadow of its former self. The glory days of NFS games is gone forever without any comebacks. Apart from that typo, i totally agree.
I thank you for making an effort with your comment, The sad fate of Black Box, really has hurt all the OG fans of NFS and Black Box is pretty the only reason why NFS became so popular, ever since EA shut them down NFS has never been the same again, I thank you for watching and commenting 😄👍
I honestly agree with you I’m a huge fan of the nfs games I’ve been a fan since underground 2 and after seeing unbound I didn’t like the trailer because it just looked like heat only anime but come on now super cars are cool the pagani zonda was one of the most funnest cars to drive in NFS The Run
NFS the run is a one of a kind NFS that for some reason the critics hated, most of their reasons were warranted but I bet you that now they are regretting it cause look a the current state of NFS I made video about NFS the run and I don't mind supercars all I just want is good physics.
It feels like so long ago lol😂😂😂😂, had to make it as graphic as possible, this is one of best videos that I am so passionate about, thank you for watching and commenting 😄✌
Did you see the Need For Speed Most Wanted 2 dev build, you can watch the gameplay of most wanted 2 on youtube. Hell I even made a comparison video with Nfs Unbound and the differencs are staggering. they had physics and improved on all the aspect of the first most wanted. But it was all scrapped and turned into the Horrible nfs most wanted with no story. After seeing Nfs Most Wanted 2 of what we could have gotten, it will piss you off for sure as I was and still am.
I saw your comparison video and honestly, I had no idea about it. NFS really could have gone back to it's roots, I made a follow up video to this one about how the NFS community doesn't know what they want and I think I need to make another NFS video because of what you showed me that gave me an idea. I thank you for watching and and value your comment 😄👍
Very simple! EA pushed black box too hard and didn't give them the time it needs and by 2008 in NFS Undercover we can see the result of that! The game had a good idea yet failed for many ppl. The last 7years nfs was nothing but trash because EA made bad choices and well looking closer actually way before that yet after 2015 it's really trash.
100% Agree, EA blames all their dev teams for bad sales when they are the one's calling the shots it's really sad to be honest, I appreciate the comment, thank you so much for watching.
I just got nfs heat and holy the physics suck I liked the old nfs games cause I feel like I can control the car more and I am so used to drifting with the brake and not double tapping the gas to drift
U2 along with mw was the best even carbon was blurry mess with no physics and newer ones? Full of nice car models but not a games it was like car show nothing more but mw2012 i liked it because car sounds was awesome and it have somewhat usable physics but i don't consider it as a nfs rather than better version of burnout
That's the sad part, the only thing they focused on was graphics, the latest games have really good graphics but the gameplay is horrible and the stories don't fair any better, the old NFS games were good, not all of them were perfect but they did a really good job. I miss EA black box but they are never coming back and they will never remake NFS most wanted or underground, thank you so much for watching and commenting 😁👍
@@chillyman7340 no problem really good content without nonsense 👍❤️and yep blackbox was really good and these games also was easy to run on almost any pc now we need NASA pc😒well not for every game but most of them are ridiculously hard to run 2015 needed a really good pc if i remember correctly
I do think what you said in the video highlights a lot of points with not just nfs but people that defend companies who only see them as a number. One of the issue with NFS going full b2d is that it makes street racing events and drift feel more homogenized and it showed a lot in all of the ghost games. When the ghost games came out what did the players do when they were approaching a race event vs a drift event because to me there was no difference because you drift everywhere were as in the older games you had a street race handling model and a drift event handling model. I feel like the only reason why b2s is still here even though ghost game gave b2s a outlook is that it might be the only physics model the team knows to make and that's it. What makes things worse is when they do put option to do grip that part of the handle model is awful or no where as fast as b2d. Not only that too but I also think they way b2s is design you can't do some of the things that you were able to pull off if the game had a proper drift handling model.
I see where your coming from and your right. I made a follow up video to this one call the "the community doesn't know what it wants" and it's pretty much me being way more honest about he current situation of NFS and where it really is going as for NFS unbound, I thank you and value your comment, thanks for watching 😄👍
I genuinely don't understand how for more than a decade now, the music in the NFS games has been absolutely horrendous. Both the original soundtracks and the licensed tracks are awful.
That is because NFS Sucks now lol. The games are nowhere near as good as they used to be lol, now the franchise is in a Limbo because EA can't figure out what to do with them, Thank you so much for watching and commenting 😁👍
@@Manstam "Buddy"... I listen to electronic music all the time. The selection made for the newer games is simply terrible. And again, the orginal music for the chases for instance is also just terrible.
@@WH250398 then the music clearly isnt for you. doesnt mean it sucks. payback is considered to be one of the worst modern nfs games but even people who hate it agree that they nailed the licensed music and the original music.
I know I'm 6 months late but I will give you my Personal Honest Opinion......Since the Blackbox era NFS has declined Hard. I've enjoyed Every ps1 NFS up to ps3 The Run. my favorite NFS is Highstakes, Hotpursuit 2 and Underground and maybe 2005 Mostwanted can't beat the game but all challenges are great....... Prostreets, Carbon, Undercover, Shift 2, Nitro, 2010 World , 2010 Hotpursuit, 2012 Mostwanted, Rivals,2015 Reboot, Payback, Heat, Unbound all them are and is Craptastic.
It's never too late to comment lol, I welcome and encourage people to give their opinion or 2 cents even if the video is 10 years old. I agree with you, the black box era of NFS was when it was at it's peak, anything else was just lack luster, the crazy part is that people also don't understand how important a game like NFS the Run was. I really am sad at the fact that Black box is gone and NFS had gone with it. Thank you for watching and commenting 😄👍
@@chillyman7340 You are "Correct " NFS died with Blackbox Studio........when I see NFS nowadays I'm thinking Burnout for Speed, I don't know who I am for Speed , Open world waste your time for Speed, Boring with Time for Speed.....
@@givehonestanswer5508 This comment God Tier lol 😂 "Burnout for speed, I don't know who I am for speed , Open world waste of your time for speed, boring with time for speed"😆😂
I think you've never played other old nfs games except ug2, mw and carbon. If you will talk about "modern nfs", then after prostreet it is just changed. Anyways, i dont agree with you. But Nice video. I hope ea will care their games, they are really shitty but still good. Also, if this video is a shitpost, I liked it.
Actually, a need for speed game that takes place in Japan would be pretty great, but I don't think Need for Speed Heat looks like a mobile port, let's be real here.
Okay yes, that comment I made was rather out of pocket your right, As of NFS unbound, don't think NFS will be going down the same route of real world locations like NFS The Run did, but only time will tell, thanks for watching and have the courage to comment :)
I disagree since I enjoy Need for speed for its car customization and overall expressing myself with my car because look at rivals and 2012 which flopped and people wanting a underground street racing racing game along with progression where you start in a beater and work your way up to a super car. I just find jumping into a super car and racing fun at first but boring and repetitive after a while.
Japan been my Idear for years why haven't they I been bashing on Tokyo game sins underground 2 hire someone with vision and criterion I'm my eyes not great developer only burnout but even lost love for that for while star wars sqaudoern plie shit new NFS is aswell heat and 2015 are good but mostwanted and underground 1 2 best
Yeah Japan would be a good idea, the only issues is that NFS Run was based on a realistic real world America map and for some reason people didn't like it, maybe because the game wasn't open world but Black Box is gone so we probably won't see anymore games like that, but thanks for watching and commenting 😁👍
Only truth here is that the community is the biggest enemy of NFS. And you are part of it. Let me also take up this devil's mantle to unpack: You also appearently know nothing about NFS. Go back to roots ehh? Yet you are ranting about more JDM cars. 1, more cars never solves anything... just look at the shitshow Forza and Gran Turismo are in. And while sheeple eat it up, quality-wise NFS in it's current fumbling state is still miles above any Forza on PC. Not that informed on GT, but 7 is certified rotten. 2, JDM was never the root of NFS, Underground was the 7th entry in the series. The supercar side was already there in the begining. Granted present supercar culture is trash... but hey contemporary culture as a whole is trash, so you can't really put that on NFS. While Underground 2 became a cult classic, UG1 way outperformed it in sales. And generally the series was a big name since High Stakes (NFS4 in 1999), UG2 making it big is either correlating with your childhood experience, or gaming as a whole growing substantially by that time. Story-wise even our beloved Most Wanted '05 was nothing. What it had was attitude and presentation... albeit both in legendary quality. If we really want to talk about good NFS story then it's: The Run, Payback and Undercover and all 3 are neglected by the community. Heck even Unbound was adorable (granted past this video's release) and Heat was OK, heck better than MW '05.
You make a valid point but to be fair the first need for speed game was made before I was born and by the time that NFSU2 came out I was still way to young to even play the games cause I was still in the single digits of age lol, the first NFS I really got to play was NFSU2 and most wanted. The thing is that it was only after the Underground and most wanted games that NFS really took off Then after Carbon NFS started losing grip with it's identity, Black Box managed to keep the series afloat until NFS The RUN but then black box got shutdown then Criterion basically took full control and development of NFS, so what I am saying is that The black box Era of NFS Games was the only relevant era of NFS games, I did a review on NFS Heat and gave my reasons to why I don't like the game, would urge you to go watch it, thank you for watching and commenting :)
@@chillyman7340 Damn, I didn't thought this would turn into a full on NFS community comment frenzy afternoon. But was great fun, could connect with you and one other dude... and you can't say I didn't do my homework XD Hope I wasn't too agressive, tried to emphasize points where I am a bit of an outlier but still honestly believe. Usually the playfully combative is the best internet conversation starter... either triggers trolls and that's funny, or rarely gets the golden roll of an opposite but intelligent response and can get a meaningful discussion going, where I don't just scare everyone away and waste my time on unread textwalls. Well I was 2 when the 1st came out, never played it. Properly bacame a member of the NFS cult with Hot Pursuit 2(PC, so that was not Black Box just yet), but have faint childhood memories of crashing about in NFS2 on the family computer. By 2nd world standards my father was a really an early adopter so I was a gamer before I could read, and that's a rarity back then. "Daddy play silver tanks" - that was Command & Conquer Red Alert from '96. So about the earlier NFS and general gaming history I only have my knowledge from video essays and community interractions. On your #WeWantNFS video I already went pretty deep to Sambeezy007 on my stance with the 2010-Rivals fiasco and the Ghost era. What I think is important to emphasize is that NFS is not just our childhood, a nearly 3 decade old iconic IP, we won't always be the target audience, they have to attract new fans, and no matter how much we love Black Box, they are gone and that cannot be undone. You seem like a reasonable dude... but the low end of the typical Most Wanted '05 fanboy is so laser focused living in the past, that they can never be pleased so listening to them would only make things worse. But cutting out those loose canons can drown the voice of true passionate OGs who really understand why the old games worked. Even I had to poke you a bit to see you firmly fall into the latter, not the former. We can still criticise and point out flaws in them. But keep that in mind 2015-present is the main baseline, and current 12-20 YO general audience is more the prime target than us old guard, so it's more realistic and constructive to approach them with that lense. Pre-Black Box NFS is not really relevant anymore, what's important is that they were more countryside closed track with varied location. All except NFS2 had police to some extent. Car selection is sport cars and supercars like Hot Pursuit 2010. That part still has to reflect on IP identity, other than that they are old news. On Black Box era: Hot Pursuit 2 - They did damn fine job on the PS2 and got promoted to main team. But the core concept was not yet theirs, last of the classic era. Underground - Massive commercial and critical hit, and an absolute gamechanger not just for racing games. Popularity with the extensive costumization bleed to other genres picking up more and more customization options. Underground 2 - Today considered a legend, and while was well recieved, back in the day it didn't perform nearly as good as UG1... likely superficially looked too similar to previous for the avarage gamer who wasn't invested in the series. But this is where the Black Box open world formula was born in it's full glory and is an improvement in every aspect... so made UG1 obsolete for today's fan base for the most part. Most Wanted - The best seller to this day. I was an UG2 is MVP guy until this year, but generally the No1. for the fanbase well deservedly. Carbon - This is where Black Box started to fold under pressure. Console generation change and the BS EA yearly release deadline meant they couldn't finish it to match their ambition. Criminally short campaign. The cutscenes were kinda cringe too... MW had plenty of cheese already, but the angst and pure attitude made it "so bad it's good" for the older fans, and a 14YO kid could unironically believe it's the coolest sit ever, not so much with this one. My least liked of the Black Box era. Pro Street - Brilliant game in it's own right, but too different too fast, and the annoying one-bit Most Wanted fan edgelord already started to happen and played a major part in this one flopping. Undercover - Ok, go back to MW style. Scope of games started to baloon big time, but EA still did not yield from the yearly release schedule. Fanbase toxicity really kicked in, the formula is too repetitive vs we want more most wanted really put Black Box into a no win situation. So we got a buggy mess with a strong core, that is very special to me, but is largely hated by the community. This is the point that broke Black Box, and EA benched them. Should've given them more time since Carbon to keep their level of polish and pedigree, but we know how shit EA is. The Run - No personal experience yet. But from reputation an amazing experimental title, just too short for a full price game, so it flopped. Black Box's swan song is a true cult classic now. And that's the point when EA pulled an EA, and instead of thinking about how to put their golden goose back on track. "Ok, we milked it to death, finish it like the rest" To the ditch beside Bullfrog and Westwood... that's EA's trackrecord for ya... gets my blood boiling every time. So yeah, while Black Box may be the only important team for you, the fanbase is larger and I began to love Ghost as well, and their legacy is still there in Criterion and Unbound... we can give constructive criticism from that angle. And maybe someday we could build a good enough community that can represent some real force against EA's BS.
@@janosd4nuke Thank you for the conversation, for sharing some things about your personal life, for bantering about NFS lol, it's refreshing to meet someone who is as passionate about videogames as I am, I thank you for giving me constructive criticism, any content creator wants someone to comment but it's good when people check you on the videos you make, so that at least down the line you can get better, enjoy the rest of your day or night, it's been fun cheers :)
The new nfs arent bad, but they feel... Very very friendly In underground 1 you get a god damn dodge neon In 2015 you get a BRZ, a mustang and a civic (most realistic choice imo) In most wanted 05, you hated razor In heat you kinda hate mercer Damn it, we need midnight club back
"we need midnight club back" Agreed my Friend, am very thankful for your honesty. I am sad at the state of car games it feels like nobody cares anymore. I will probably make a video about midnight club soon and the death of car games lol thank you for watching enjoy your weekend 😁
RIP NFS 1994-2005
*1994-2006
Nah carbon, prostreet, hot pursuit 2010, the run, rivals are all games that imo are great and fun, again in my opinion.
I personally think the games started getting pretty damn bad or mediocre with 2015
2011 tbh
Rivals was the last good NFS game. Everything after was awful
and what happened to starting off with the slower cars then working harder to get the faster, more flashier supercars nowadays you just start the game off with a Porsche 911 whilst back in NFS MW ii had to beat Baron with my Lexus (which ii had in the start of the game) in order to get that Porsche 911. nowadays there's no true progression it's just drive fast & win. no passion or emotional attachment
Have you seen what they did with NFS unbound? you can literally hire/rent a Lamborghini Huracan and other high performance cars on the online mode 😂, it's crazy man but thanks for watching 😁
I agree with everything especially about the supercars taking over car culture in general.
People(The new NFS community) have always hated my stance on supercars lol I thank you for watching and value your comment. 😄
Hahahahaha! The physics is bad!?
Well this aged like milk
Most Wanted 2012 actually had a LOT of content cut because EA rushed Criterion so the actual game is a shell of its former self.
Yeah I heard about that, I think I need to make a video about that as well. People keep saying the game was supposed to have a lot more but was cut short due to time constraints, thank you so much for watching and commenting 😄 👍
vidio has some nice points, but i can clarify about 2012 mw:
there was supposed to be a actual story continuing from 2005, but EA cut up development time, so they werent comming out of ideas, but out of time.
Yeah I understand that now I saw like a beta type version of nfsmw2021 and it looked completely different to what the final game looked like I just wonder what the finished product would have looked like if they had time to finish it, thank you so much for watching and commenting 😁👍
Nice editing bro
He does have a point though to be fair. Hope the developers see this video. Story line suck in most games especially when it's too repetitive
We need part 2 🙌 bring the 15 min bullet points

There is a lot of fake hype around it and I will make a video about it thank you for watching 😁👍
bro liked payback out of all modern nfs 😭💀
So yeah, f(redacted) unbound.
bruh
Bruh good or Bruh bad lol? 🤣
I agree with you, the only sad part is that the best NFS games were made under black box which EA shut down, this is why NFS games have been so bad lately I have made a few more videos about nfs and black box, thank you for watching and commenting 😁👍
to be fair i was one of those people who hated tha Underground series when it 1st came out because i prefer tha Pre-Underground era but seein' Underground/Most Wanted 2005 fans get more mad at tha newer games after Most Wanted 2005 is almost completely laughable for me 😂
like i've been waiting on a High Stakes II for over 20 years now and i started on High Stakes as my 1st ever NFS game i beginned with
NFS just isn't hitting the same anymore, they lost the spark they once had and went instead for generic games that make money because of a fanbase that can't tell the difference between a good game and a bad one lol, thank you so much for watching and taking the time to write your comment.😁
all i hate is all the supercars. i really want the Audi S4/A4 to return.
classic NFS was about supercars.

NFS the run is a one of a kind NFS that for some reason the critics hated, most of their reasons were warranted but I bet you that now they are regretting it cause look a the current state of NFS I made video about NFS the run and I don't mind supercars all I just want is good physics.

Soo damn right, finally feels like somewhone said what i think about this : D
Also, have a fruitfull new year : D
Very simple! EA pushed black box too hard and didn't give them the time it needs and by 2008 in NFS Undercover we can see the result of that! The game had a good idea yet failed for many ppl. The last 7years nfs was nothing but trash because EA made bad choices and well looking closer actually way before that yet after 2015 it's really trash.
100% Agree, EA blames all their dev teams for bad sales when they are the one's calling the shots it's really sad to be honest, I appreciate the comment, thank you so much for watching.

Why would stuntman be a competitor to nfs? It’s not a racing game

I disagree since I enjoy Need for speed for its car customization and overall expressing myself with my car because look at rivals and 2012 which flopped and people wanting a underground street racing racing game along with progression where you start in a beater and work your way up to a super car. Only truth here is that the community is the biggest enemy of NFS. And you are part of it. Let me also take up this devil's mantle to unpack:
You also appearently know nothing about NFS.
But was great fun, could connect with you and one other dude... and you can't say I didn't do my homework XD
Hope I wasn't too agressive, tried to emphasize points where I am a bit of an outlier but still honestly believe.
On Black Box era:
Hot Pursuit 2 - They did damn fine job on the PS2 and got promoted to main team.
The last good game they made was most wanted after that they went down hill

@@Manstamwhy
The new nfs arent bad, but they feel... Very very friendly
In underground 1 you get a god damn dodge neon
In 2015 you get a BRZ, a mustang and a civic (most realistic choice imo)
In most wanted 05, you hated razor
In heat you kinda hate mercer
Damn it, we need midnight club back
"we need midnight club back" Agreed my Friend, am very thankful for your honesty. I am sad at the state of car games it feels like nobody cares anymore. I will probably make a video about midnight club soon and the death of car games lol thank you for watching enjoy your weekend 😁
