Hello. My friend did season 2. She stated that backstage it would be like 42 to 50 kids with their parents doing quick health screenings, signing waivers, and they would get a production slip with their name, team color, and what episode they would go on. They filmed 2 or 3 shows, one morning and two possible noon/midday episodes. Lunch was provided and was only sandwiches, orange slices and mini water bottles. If you were eliminated early, they would take you to the back to take a photo with the Nickelodeon blimpie and a backup Olmec and you were free to go with your parents and a become a audience member of the next show.
Kirk spilled the beans a couple years back. They filmed the segments in order (all the moats, all the steps of knowledge, etc.). By the time they got around to temple runs, the kids were tired and cranky. Hence, the wrong turns, missed pendants and that stupid monkey!
Kirk said they would film 5 eps in a single day and the kids who went last would be there up to 14 hours! Also they filmed the beginning round 5 times and then rd 2 five times etc. so most of the kids were there a long ass time before the temple runs
Also, they would provide the shirts (they had tons of screen printed colors) but the pants were loaners and they would dry wash them with hotel laundry spray
Too high budget. This was when Nick first started and they were swinging big. They made Nick Studios which was pricey as fuck and this show was not cheap. It is argubly one of the grandest game shows ever made. Hard to think of a more elaborate one.
Kirk’s post season one intros were prerecorded for safety reasons cause he entered on a rope (lowered down from the ceiling in season two and swinging on the rope in season three)
good point! i wanted to include the rope portion, but it already reached the max length. that got me thinking, i wonder if they came up with the rope action first, then thought of prerecording it, or they decided to make the intro prerecorded, and then decided on a rope related intro
What I like about legends of the hidden temple I like that show and I remember kirk fogg and olmec when they were on the show i like just everything I think they were on nickelodeon
What I like about legends of the hidden temple I like that show I remember when Kirk fogg and olmec when they were on show I think was nickelodeon show
you can watch it on RUclips, but i think you have to pay for it. then some episodes are on their respective legends wiki page. highly recommend that you check that out. lastly, most other episodes are on ar/chive.org, if you're willing to do a bit of research
This is incomplete without

wow, your friend must've had a blast!
Yeah each season was recorded over the course of two weeks because they couldn't keep the set up and longer

@@bobbya9722Game shows are stupid cheap. Universal paid for Nick Studios.
@@MatthewWunderlich I heard they this show was so expensive they could barely afford to give out prizes.
@@bobbya9722Prizes are furnished by sponsors and sponsors are cheap.
