1 जून 2002 को क्रिकेट जगत एक बड़े हादसे का चश्मदीद बना. आज ही के दिन 16 साल पहले दक्षिण अफ्रीका के पूर्व कप्तान हैंसी क्रोनिए विमान हादसे में मारे गए. द. अफ्रीका के पश्चिमी केप के एक शहर जॉर्ज के पास यह दुर्घटना हुई थी. उनकी मौत एक गुत्थी की तरह रही , जिसकी वजह सामने ही नहीं आई. हालांकि, दो साल पहले वह मैच फिक्सिंग में फंसकर अपना क्रिकेट करियर 'तबाह' कर चुके थे.
क्रिकेट के काले अध्याय के पहले विलेन!
वर्ष 2000 को विश्व क्रिकेट का सबसे काला अध्याय माना जाता है. इसी साल क्रिकेट में फिक्सिंग के पहले सबसे बड़े खुलासे से क्रिकेट की दुनिया में हड़कंप मच गया था. दक्षिण अफ्रीका के तत्कालीन कप्तान हैंसी क्रोनिए इस काले अध्याय के पहले विलेन थे.
फिक्सिंग में बड़ी भूमिका कबूली थी
11 अप्रैल 2000 को क्रोनिए ने कबूल किया था कि फिक्सिंग में उनकी बड़ी भूमिका थी. शुरुआती अप्रैल में क्रोनिए के फिक्सिंग से जुड़े होने की रिपोर्ट भारत से उभरी थी. जो ज्यादातर फोन पर बातचीत से जुड़ी थी. लेकिन क्रोनिए फिक्सिंग के आरोपों को गलत बताते रहे.
इस अफ्रीकी कप्तान का बड़ा सम्मान था
क्रिकेट जगत में क्रोनिए का बड़ा सम्मान था, किसी ने सोचा न होगा वाकई यह अफ्रीकी धुरंधर ऐसा भी कर सकता है. द. अफ्रीका क्रिकेट बोर्ड (UCBSA) के एमडी अली बेचर को भी क्रोनिए की ईमानदारी पर पूरा भरोसा था. लेकिन आरोप के चार दिन ही बाद क्रोनिए ने सुबह तीन बजे बेचर को फोन कर कबूल किया था, 'मैं पूरी तरह ईमानदार नहीं.'
दागदार क्रोनिए ने नया काम शुरू किया था
आखिरकार क्रोनिए से कप्तानी छीन ली गई. बाद में सरकार द्वारा नियुक्त किंग कमीशन ने क्रोनिए को असली दागदार साबित किया. क्रिकेट से दूर, क्रोनिए जोहानिसबर्ग की एक कंपनी के लिए एक वित्तीय प्रबंधक के तौर में उन्होंने अपना नया काम शुरू किया था. लेकिन इसी बीच विमान हादसे में उनकी मौत हो गई. उस वक्त क्रोनिए महज 32 साल 26 महीने के थे. 2000 से अधिक लोगों ने उनके अंतिम संस्कार में भाग लिया. क्रोनिए ने 68 टेस्ट और 188 वनडे खेले. 53 टेस्ट मैचों में द. अफ्रीका की कप्तानी की, जो ग्रीम स्मिथ (108) के बाद सर्वाधिक है.

What happening in reality, some players fix match and spot... Some times this players banned temporarily then come back as administrator, commentator and coach.. Cronje is a gentleman that's why he accepted... Otherwise no one accepts and this days we are seeing some of them in commentary like jones, a jadeja.. as administrator like azaruddin and lots of times as coach like akram, younis. Some of them is still playing like amir, sreesanth.
